This is an originally created list of checks I have learnt and collected that you can perform on your new or existing website (ideally before you ask for a website review). It was first published today in this thread post on Namepros.com. It's not copied and pasted from somewhere. Use it for whatever you want subject to Namepros T's and C's.

A. GRAPHIC DESIGN CHECKS

1. Use a sensible design or theme
2. Font size and colour is standard and readable
3. Font face is sensible for type of site
4. Professional logo { same words as your domain name }
5. Logo linking to the homepage
6. Favicon { for all devices, browsers and social sites }
7. Images correct file format
8. Images are max 50 - 100 kilobytes { for slow browsers }
9. Original images { use video stills } Follow a set stylesheet {for images and text}

B. FUNCTIONALITY CHECKS

1. Search box that works
2. Site description
3. All forms and functions work because you signed up in igcognito window and checked on manyd browsers
4. Obvious how to use forms and features
   
5. R.S.S. feed is displayed / working
6. No broken or expired / hijacked external domain name links
7. 404 page for errors
8. Text only option
9. Print page option
10. Printed pages are correctly formatted
11. Email link to someone
12. Checkout is perfect or as close to perfect as possible
13. Visual site map
14. X.M.L. site map
15. HTTPS is enabled and forced on all domain name variations
16. Use correct timezone
17. Use correct language
18. Use correct currency
19. Keep licenses paid for
20. Update software to latest version { such as W.P. plugins and theme }
21. Thank you and form submission confirmation is working and obvious
22. Everything works when screen is rotated
23. Touch buttons are correct size

C. USER EXPERIENCE CHECKS

1. Main menu { easy to use }
2. Accessible on all devices
3. Pages load fast
4. Call to action { before you scroll }
   
5. Call to action { end of scroll }
   
6. Footer links including social media icons
   
7. No endless content loading
8. No pop up boxes or new tabs { without alerting user }
9. No viruses or dodgy downloads
10. Follow legal requirements
11. Chatbox / phone number { if needed }
12. Social media share buttons
13. Accessibility controls for disabled users { think about blind, deaf or double arm amputees }
14. Accessible to colourblind people
15. Acurate image descriptions
16. Important information is easy to find

D. CONTENT CHECKS

1. Useful and original content
2. Claims should be factual, current and verifiable
3. No filler text
4. Spell and grammar checked
5. Relevant images
6. Images load very fast
7. Sub headings
8. Scannable text
9. Internal links to relevant pages
10. External links to trustworthy sources
11. About page
12. Privacy policy page
13. Terms page
14. Contact page
15. Anti slavery page
16. All unique page title
17. All unique page description
18. Page file names have separated keywords { but not too many }
19. Help pages { see what keywords are searched from your analytics which monitors your site search box }
20. Pages of text include date { first created and slso last updated }
21. Author bio link
22. Write naturally { like having a conversation
23. Include image copyright attribution
24. Include targeted adverts
25. Label adverts as adverts { or begin / end each page with disclaimer }
26. Remove lorem ipsum and other standard filler content
27. In the very end footer the current year
