So far this week, 4 enquiries on different names and all SPAM!

Anyone else been receiving the same, or have you previously? Is this just EFTY, or is this a common more wider problem?

Yes, I have received several spam offers the last few days. Previously not.

Spam,

No way,

Some poor student like me always try to check if they get names at cheap. But we have to become mute when we get $500 and more asking price.

There are normal periods within domain sales where one gets tire kickers or offers you don't hear from again.... It happens in my experience. I had a few this week and none have closed. I am used to never counting my chickens before they hatch in this industry. But there are also periods with strong sales so...

I'm not talking about lowball offers. I'm getting porn spam links in the message texts with $xx,xxx offers.

Happens as well. Probably spammers just filling out contact forms automatically or without looking to see what they actually are.

Or maybe efty changed something which lowered security and spam messages are getting across easier now? Can't really comment on efty as I switched to Dan a while back but I have gotten spam messages through make offer forms from time to time..

In over a year with 300+ domains, I've received zero spam messages until this week when I've gotten multiple, so something has changed for sure.

What exactly did you receive?

One was offering me $9999943 for a UK name, with the following message:

Hello, my name is Blake and I will be doing this today! The my name is robot segment of the application was truly hilarious thanks! gtet back to me soon!

- Blake

The other most recent one was someone offering me $14000 for a UK name entering a rather strange email address in Asia as the message.

The most recent (today) was someone offering $160000 for another UK name with the following message, 'How to make money Fast!' with a link.

All rather annoying! Seems it's Spammers Week!

It has picked up lately, more than usual.

I've received more than 600 spam inquiries since july on Efty. All come with a low $xx,xxx offer and links in the message. Fortunately 90% are tagged as spam and go direct to the "spam" section.

Sounds like there is a new Black hat SEO program out there that is breaking through spam filters...

Yes same here lots of spamming fake offers this last week or two

Efty has a spam folder where the inquiries with links generally end up. However I do get offers from what would be customers of end users thinking the landing page is a lead gen form for a real estate site or a job website or those wanting to buy bitcoin. Putting a BIN in place with escrow integration will eliminate this.

You are right. What I mean is that in the last week about 10% of this clearly spam offers (same format as the ones that end up in the spam folder) are not tagged by Efty as spam and are showed as valid offers (although not verified).

Hi everyone, we're on the case and have a solution ready that is being implemented across the entire platform later today (Friday).

...and another just now... but not for much longer! @Doron Vermaat - can you update us once this rollout has been completed?

Noticed this also. Almost no spam in year previous (just a handful at most), then the last few months my Efty pages have been spammed like mad - currently have 236 spam offers in my Efty spam folder, and 7 spam offers that made it past the filter and are in the verified folder. Someone's spent a lot of time writing software that does something absolutely useless: sends spam offers to us via Efty landing pages. What a waste of everyone's time, including the person/people who are doing the spamming.

- Doron - will you be adding any kind of checkboxes to these lists? At present I'd have to select every one of those spam messages and delete it one-by-one, there's no option (that I've found, anyway) to 'select all' and then delete all at once, in the Inquiries folders...

Thanks for the quick and good work. - And thanks for creating the spam filters/folders, I remember mentioning that suggestion quite some time ago on this forum, and you asked me about it, and shortly thereafter you created the spam filters/folders. Appreciate it.
