The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I may have gotten this wrong.
Now I'm not sure if he owned it or not.
I thought I saw it on Rooted, but it may have been another site I was looking at.
Sorry.

Peace,
Kenny
I looked into that one specifically. It is coming to GD from Enom. We cant see the WHOIS on that because it is private. Anything we know is Riz's domains we are not selling and are doing what we can to help.

To be fair we are trying to do what we can, but we are scrambling and trying to put it all together. There may be accounts he has using another name, email, a business name, etc or domains coming in from another company that we don't see ownership on. We are not and would not sell any domains of his on purpose.

I know this is not the right spot to go into this but it is really important to have a plan for all of us when we die to take care of our domain assets. Somewhere listing all our accounts and passwords for our heirs and someone who knows how to manage domains. Almost all of us have domains at multiple companies, with sometimes even several accounts at each company and it can get messy how we acquire domains and where they wind up. I know I can personally do a better job myself of this.

We are doing everything we can to try and figure it out on our side. I actually only came on NP today to see my message history with him to make sure I can identify all his accounts with us the best I can.

I know. I didn't want to make this a vax vs non vax thing but I do know covid and the vax have been attributed to strokes. But also stress and diet.
There are a lot of covid vaccine strokes happening everyday.
First of all what happened is not even clear if it was COVID related period. It is not clear what the cause of death is.

I don't think speculation is that appropriate. Let's try not to turn this into some political thread based on speculation.

May God bless his soul.

Riz was truly an inspiration for many in his short journey in domaining. Great guy.

He had an angioplasty a few months back.

And last week he had a brain stroke due to blood clot in the brain and was on ventilator support for 4 days post-surgery.

Let's put the unneeded speculations away.

Sad news. I have dealt with him in the past, and he was a valuable NamePros contributor.

I believe he was relatively young as well and just posted on LinkedIn last week, so this is shocking.

RIP @Riz M.

He has a portfolio of strong domains including LLL.com, LLLL.com and others. I hope someone is around to take care of them. These situations are even sadder when what someone worked for is allowed to expire with others benefiting instead of the family.

Riz was an amazing guy, he came out of nowhere, and shared his amazing sales and names with us. For a guy whose first language was not English, to come and educate many of us on first world English domains, and good ones also. He put in the work, I think he deserves to be remembered, it would be great if we could all contribute to some kind of namescon award in his honor, maybe for a successful first year newcomer in the space award, in his name. I’m sure many people he helped here would be happy to contribute, and get the ball rolling. He deserves to be remembered, as he was always willing to share, and help everyone. Maybe namepros can give him his PRO badge back also.

Very sad to hear this. Many positive interactions. He was a go getter and took the domaining world by storm. He mastered the art of acquiring low and doing mid level decent flips like no other. Very motivated and smart guy. RIP Riz.

RIP Dear, we will miss you.

He has an exceptional back to back sales record just before the NFT hype and starting of his company Rooted.com.

His candid interview with @Alvin's for Kickstart Commerce is one of the best episodes and an inspiration for everyone.

Regards,

His names will be fine. His wife and family are involved in his domaining business.

@Paul Nicks @Joe Styler

Can you please reach out to the family? Allowing valuable domains to expire in this situation would be a tragedy.

Brad
I found out last night. It is really a shame and shocking. We are doing what we can at GoDaddy. Thanks for the heads up. I am trying to get his wife's contact info.

Very sad. When I was dying of covid, he was one of the people I chose to send a message and say goodbye to. He was a good man.

Very sad to know the sudden demise of Mr Rizwan. Great Domainer, dynamic, ambitious and hardworking. I hope someone responsible in his family take care of his domaining assets. May God give his family utmost patience. May his soul rest in peace. Inna lillaahi wa inna ilaihi rajwoon. (“Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return.”)
