How do we join?

In Telegram case: it looks are we are supposed to install appware.
Is this correct? Can't we use it normally?

In LinkedIn case: I'm interested in joining anonmously, without giving phone, ID etc.
Only email, and other not so critical info can be given.

Any other places to "socialize"?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
There are endless places to socialise. It seems the focus here is "where can I sign up, without using my stuff"

Most places you need at least an email. Creating a spare email isn't hard, and free to do, if you don't want to attach your main email to a social account. There are even services online for receiving the SMS code when a number is required, but outside of that a spare sim is a negligible cost. In terms of zero email, zero number and land of the free: 4Chan

I dont understand why you dont see bellow then 1-3 search results?

You can register in Telegram online without apps on phone or PC: https://web.telegram.org (Log in via phone number)

Do we need to install something to use telegram (on a laptop).
Do we need to give a phone number (I mean, beyond a free one-time sms receiving number) for Linked in.
This is basically what I'm asking.

I think what you are looking for, is a web3 alternative. Coz any app or website in web2 usually requires you to share your identity, albeit, a fake one (like jhm suggested, creating another or a fake email that is different from your current identity).

Thanks for responses.
I think I tried "free" linkedin accounts, none worked, maybe because linkedin is aware of them and deleting them.
(By socializing, I mean contacting potential endusers (ceos) directly. )
