I. Sections - The Websites For Sale section is designed to help facilitate the sale of websites (not businesses) between owners and buyers for free. Website transactions can include trades, leasing agreements, financing, and straight-out buying. Checkout the Website Review and Appraisal Guide for additional information concerning site evaluation. Remember to briefly review the Official Marketplace rules before posting and most common questions can be answered in its FAQ page. Depending on the account level of your membership, you may have certain limits on your account. See Account Upgrades to remove or extend these limitations.
1. There are four areas sellers can use to list their websites for sale (do not list in more than one):
a. Established Sites For Sale - Sites with unique content or design.
b. Turnkey Websites For Sale - A turnkey website is a completed, but non-unique site that’s set for immediate use.
c. Exclusive Marketplace - Area exclusive to the Insiders Club.
d. Adult Websites For Sale - Keep adult related sales in this area.
2. Websites Wanted and Web Development is the designated area for buyers to request websites. If you’d like to request a site in the other areas, remember to include the prefix, “WTB” (want to buy) in its title.

II. Sellers
1. Title - Include “WTS,” your website’s domain name, niche, and minimum price or BIN for more results.
a. e.g. WTS - ExampleSiteForSale.com - Beauty Products - BIN $2,500
2. Some people base their selling price on a mix of user count and EBITDA multiple (multiplying their annual revenue between 1 and 7).
3. Respond to questions in a professional and timely manner to produce trust with your potential buyers.
4. Supply as much information and data as possible while providing proof for transparency. A quick description and why you’re selling the site will go a long way.
5. NamePros is not responsible for the execution of the deal or its details. It would be wise for both the buyer and seller to iron out all the details and review a boilerplate contract prior to proceeding. This allows for more communication and transparency between the parties to increase the success rate of the deal past due diligence.
6. Please close or edit your thread after your site is sold.

III. Buyers
1. Title - Include “WTB,” your niche, and budget for more submissions.
a. e.g. WTB - Beauty Products - $1,500 Budget
2. As a precautionary measure, remember that purchasing a site for its operating profit is safer than for a quick flip.
3. Inquire why sellers are parting with their site:
a. Don’t have the time to maintain it
b. Lost interest
c. Doesn’t make enough revenue to support time investment
d. Requires significant upgrades
4.Remember to consider the “sweat equity” you’re paying for. It took time and effort to grow the website you’re considering.
5. Beware of screenshot manipulation and report any sightings.

6. If you have a WTB thread open, please edit or close it after purchasing a site.

V. Post Sale - Actions to take after a sale.
1. Leave an appropriate Trader Rating on each other’s profiles that reflects the transaction’s outcome.
2. If you’d like to brag about your sale, post the domain portion of the transaction in Domain Name Sales with the details.
3. If you’re looking to quickly flip the domain you just acquired or invest in some new names from your recent windfall, try the NamePros Marketplace.
