Is the cop wrong in the action he took? Probably. However, was there an imminent danger that he saw not only by that kid, but the surrounding area?

The problem is we'll never know - there's no record of the encounter, just verbal testimony. Constructive suggestions coming out of this include cops wearing cameras.. not a bad idea.

I saw a show a few years back on how they found either this costume or the backup. It look worse than a junk yard dawg's sleeping rug. There an old principal I forgot what it was called but it used in restoration. It's at what point do you replace too much of something with new 'parts' does it no longer be an original and becomes a replica?
