We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Bitpay ID verification process does not work and the support team does not help in any way. All they do is copy and paste answers like robots.

I don't understand why you insist on working with these clowns.
I encountered the same situation as you, Bitpay simply cannot verify the account.

It seems they have to have add more options

What options do you guys think would be good alternatives?

@DAN.COM
Is it really necessary to have a giant cookies message pop-up which covers most of the landing page? And if it is truly necessary, why can't it be made smaller?

Anyone else getting next to zero traffic on Dan !?
Emailed to ask if there was a problem with my account. Curiously, after which I started getting a few views then a reply to say there were no issues with my acc. Views lasted a few days then died off again, weird !?

GoDaddy monetizing Dan.com parked domains with PPC ads

GoDaddy is running some type of A/B testing that displays PPC ads on domains parked with Dan.com.

We are talking about domains that utilize the ns1.dan.com and ns2.dan.com nameservers, which by default point to Dan.com landers. These are domains whose registrants expect to display a specific Dan.com template, and nothing else.

From the article:

"What’s worse is that domain investors are most likely not aware of what’s going on."

If I come across 1 (one) of my domains that is displayed in the manner shown in the article without my prior consent, I will move my names away from anything to do with Godaddy/Afternic/Dan forever.

How greedy and unethical can GoDaddy be!?? I hate them so much. I finally just got my integration with Afternic fixed after all this time, and now this? I was feeling optimistic—no more. Lesson learned. Don't let your guard down with GoDaddy.

Imagine getting hit with a UDRP because GoDaddy decided to put infringing ads on your domain!!

NOTICE TO GODADDY/DAN - I just want landers, with NO ADS. If I wanted to park my names, I'd use a much better parking platform than those ugly-ass parking pages.

Now what?

This is the main issue for me.

I've been testing Dynadot landers (mainly because the Dan landers have the massive "We use cookies" pop up). They are less than ideal because the delay caused by cloudfare check.

Got to sleep on it tonight...really going to be bummed out if I have to spend the time to create my own marketplace.

Amazing. Never seen that before. I use Brave browser and it must block that garbage. Just looked using Edge. Was it this way for long? It's hideous and huge.

They won't resolve unless you click/accept
I guess I must have accepted them on Brave before, I don't remember ever seeing them though. Oh well, I can live with that, just wish it was more subtle. But there is no excuse for sneaking ads onto our landing pages.

Yes, been that way for months. It is just too big...last time I used a hand held device it overpowered the screen. I've been waiting for a fix...

Good afternoon everyone,
We want to be clear. We have not and do not plan on changing our landers in any way, nor are we performing any A/B tests. Our engineers are investigating, and we will share our findings once the investigation is complete.

Best regards,
Dan.com

So simply you're hacked?

Congratulations!

Then how come I had a landing page with ads? That doesn't make sense...

Also no punishments for people listing domains that aren't there domains, users that I have made offers on with fake domains are still up.

And when a seller lists a domain with BIN, and a buyer buys the domain, but then seller changes there mind and doesn't sell/push the domain, how is there no repercussions for the seller? You say there is, but there account stays untouched... It's gotten out of control...

Dan used to be a respectable company, thanks to godaddy that has all gone out the door.

Any chance of getting rid of the cookies pop-up? The one that covers most of the landing page?

The domains mentioned to us by Theo at DomainGang are listed in seller accounts that have Cashparking enabled. If they want to turn it off and are having issues, they can reach out to our support team.

Separately, we took a look at Theo's account and saw there was a domain which had been opted in to Cashparking prior to him adding it to his account yesterday. As a result, when he added the domain, it didn’t switch over to the direct For Sale lander. We have resolved that and are also taking steps to ensure that new listings will not inherit the CashParking settings of previous listings going forward.

How about bitpay alternative?

Still no answer for that request...

Suggestion for DAN: Add a column on domains for sale dashboard so we can see Whois expiration date for each domain. This would make it SO EASY for us to delete expired domains from our portfolios and avoid that all too common error unable to add domain to portfolio because another DAN user has not deleted it from their account. All other services like Dynadot, SAV, etc, make it easy to see expiration dates for domains... why can't DAN do the same? You think showing us the date domain added to DAN portfolio is useful? 😕

Hey DAN, why is everyone else in the world outside the EU forced to see annoying cookie policy popup? You should just make it for the EU regime citizens. It makes a very BAD first impression to potential buyers on the domain landers! Fellow Namepros users, please like this comment if you want to get some action from GoDaddy woops I mean DAN 😉

Great suggestion. Perhaps also adding the option of automatic deletion by the expiration date. Works well for listings done through a registrar's marketplace.

May I know the reason for adding captcha while saving the settings?

@DAN.COM

Please pay attention (again) to your server capacity and configs.

I'm seeing these errors more often these days.

Thank you.
