GoDaddy Rewards Points are earned from each purchase, and can be redeemed for cash in on-site purchases. However, it has been weeks that this functionality hasn't been working (despite having points in the account), and their support is a bad joke. Below are the full details.
GoDaddy recently informed users that they “made the decision to discontinue GoDaddy Pro Rewards program" and their page about the subject states clearly that users will “continue to earn points for every dollar (USD) you, or your clients, spend on eligible purchases through November 20, 2022. … Any points you've earned expire two years from the date they were awarded. … Any points you've earned can be redeemed for in-store credit.” However, this help page explaining how to redeem the points is outdated and doesn't reflect current site settings, i.e. their explanation doesn’t work.
So, I reached out to their support via chat. And after a while, the rep finally answered... by referring me to yet another support:
Shouldn’t support just provide… the support needed? Anyway, I called the number he gave. Auto-reply said there's a 45 minute wait-time, and gave the option to text, so I chose that. Started a discussion, and the person again was unable to explain how one can use their rightfully earned points, and referred me to yet again another form of support!
I have not created a support ticket yet. This is tiring, and a serious disregard by GoDaddy for their users, both in maintaining basic website functionalities as well as providing adequate support. I am expecting a GoDaddy rep to take some responsibly and shed light on the matter.
