not a fair comparison. If you buy a product or in this case a domain name, pay for it and then have possession - it should remain as yours. Sellers remorse or technical difficulties should be irrelevant when a transaction has concluded if title is in buyers name. That said, TOS tend to cover such glitches/ issues so there's not much you can do about it except kick up a stink publicly.
When airlines have such issues and undersell an airfare, they usually honor it because of the PR mess it makes all over social media if they don't go ahead with the done deal.

because they created the game and all it's rules yet if they mess up there are no consequences. What about all the idiots spending countless millions on their .xyz? Are they going to get a refund, of course no.
