I don,t think so...
Has it come to this? Domainers versus domainers? Hey I wish I had not missed the boat years ago on a lot of good regs also. Dreams cost nothing. Good for registries people buying all these new extensions. Look how long .info and mobile have been around and they can not touch .com Great to have people think they have won the lottery and keep buying. Hell visit my reseller account and I will sell you a boatload. Of course monster size companies utilize different extensions just to keep some data sorted. Most people will never have to worry about that. Have a look at the domain name root data base and see who owns the extension. Then you can decide if the extension is a good investment. We seen the same hype when .travel first came out as well as .mobi. Godaddy just keeps getting richer.

It takes around 10 years for people to embrace major changes, so I estimate that after 7 years the number of start-ups which use ngtlds will equal com's.
Now you can register 3 words com sau 2 words ngtlds and sell them for $250. Me? I would choose any day a ngtld for this reason.
In 5 years, domainers will register all 2 words ngtlds and sell them for $2000, the same as com. Then, the price will be equal.
