Casino Names

Hey guys/girls,

I have found about 15 domains each in .com/.net that are getting min amount of traffic. Overture is showing between 30-90 uniques a month on all of these names. I am assumign most of this traffic is from links. ?? All names are casino related. Do you guys have good luck with casino name sales? I guess what I'm really asking is; "is it hard to make a sale if the name is averaging minimal traffic such as this?" I mean, 30-90 uniques not alot but if you're redirecting traffic this amounts to 500+ uniques if all names are being forwarded to your existing casino site. What do you think? Should I reg?

Actually, all of the names in question are unreg'd.

Ok, I just calculated all traffic and according to overture if you were to forward all domains to an existing site, you would have received a total of 1795 unique hits for month of July.

if you are so sure about the traffic, i would(a newbie advice) probably reg them, as you would get high traffic and also maybe good ppc earnings.

here's one for example.......type in this one and let me know what ya think:

boatcasino.net (this one is cheesy but received 33 uniques) I do not want this one by-the-way, so reg it if you want it. Anyway, some of them are listed like this in overture----

72 yourname.com
57 yourname.com linkdomain

Most do not show the bottom part.....so I am assuming the ones that have that secondary stat ("linkdomain") traffic comes from links?

What ya think? And I am sure about the traffic. I have calculated it twice based on each individual overture result.

Tricky question / answer, as although i have the posts, I am by no means an expert in the field.

Personally, I look at market infiltration. How many people have "thought" of this sales pitch and how many companies are running "casino" type solutions / websites.

A good casino site can cost upwards of $150,000 per year, allowing for %15 of all profiits being lost to the company providing the backend solution. This IS a big money area, however, the name REALLY MUST BE A HIT with the marketing director.

All I can really suggest, is think of yourself as a marketing director for a casino. What would YOU pay for a domain, based on everything else that is going on where u are loosing money.

IF YOU can justify it, sensibly, to yourself, grab the domain ajnd gice it a go. I mean, 1 domain is going to loose u $9.00

i checked marketleap and it doesnt' show up any links(boatcasino.net) It could also be that it might have expired recently and people might have done a lot searches on this domain, so its overture results could have been inflated.

Alexa and wayback also don't show anything. so i would be careful. Their results might definitely inflated.

Just beacause it has overture doesnt mean all those people will goto site. Who types boatcasino.net in overture unless it was a developed site and then it could probally just be the old site owner looking for his search engine results or something.

Goto archive.org and type in computercasino.net . It was a developed site since 1999.
