It does say, though, "Unregistered Copy - Please Ask Webmaster", etc. Is that of any concern? Do I need to do anything?

This chat I'm trying now is jirc. I believe it's $50 to register. If we like it, I'll cover the cost.

One of the cool things about jirc is that it can be customized to use your own smilies and sounds.

CH, I originally had an installation of EIRC at that link. That was the one that took a long time to load. Try the new one (jirc) and see if it works ok for you.

yeah it uses irc chat which doesnt allow alot of characters in the usernames etc im gonna be in chat almost 24/7

It's not working for me.

I have a restriction however applied to my computer which usually stops instantaneous downloads, so that's probably the problem. I guess I won't be chatting then.

Here's one you might want to test drive. We did have it live and working on STutor earlier this year, but since I have sold the whole site & not sure what the new owners plans are for chat svc's. However, this RaiderSoft worked well, and it had massive free cool features..

This one is nice, and loads faster and has more options for smilies, sounds, and colors if we upgrade. It's a little more expensive to get the extras.
