Exactly but if I remember rightly they couldn't veryify domains with privacy
Although that said I'm sure the registrant gets the email from the privacy email which sends the email to the registrants personal email address which they would not have received if they weren't the registrant of that domain which should be enough as verification link should still be in the redirected email and as such it should still work
