Some Google #s

Always interested in how related words are ranked as far as Google is concerned.

I thought I would type in some family related words and see how they stack up.

In no particular order:

Home...802,000,000
House...132,000,000

Man...236,000,000
Men...222,000,000

Woman...54,000,000
Women...208,000,000

Boy...47,000,000
Girl...114,000,000

Mom...10,600,000
Dad...7,420,000

Mother...47,000,000
Father...30,300,000

Family...148,000,000

Marriage...20,200,000
Divorce...8,450,000

Sometimes these numbers are helpful when brainstorming 2 or 3 word domain names.

If nothing else, it is interesting to see the discrepancies.

I found the "home" vs "house" numbers a bit surprising (such a big gap) and the singular "man" vs the singular "woman".

Interesting that Home beats out House by such a large number, especially considering all the real estate websites out there...

Real Estate Basics:
You might sell a house to an investor, but people who are buying for own use are looking for a home, not a house!

Sometimes there is no relationship between google's numbers and typein traffic.

For example take: "i"
google "Mentions" = 1,270,000,000
However, search traffic is less than little to none.

The results are just "mentions" in the websites that came up when your search was completed.

More people talk about their home than their house.
for example the work at home sites, home loans, home plans,
home schooling, motor homes, home pages blah blah which are way more results or sites than "house".
