There are ups and downs into investing into .info/.us/.net instead of .com's, 3 letter that is. For one, if you invest $2,000 to buy a single 3-letter .com today, then the value will increase at a bigger rate than .info/.us/.net, which is better ofcoarse.

If you invest $2,000 to buy 20 or so .info/.us domains, than your value will increase at a smaller late, but there is a better chance that you'll find an end-user that will pay mid to high $x,xxx for it since you have 20 of them.

All you have to do is pick a strategy and stick to it.
