The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I have a vested interest also and want to see BB continue to do well. I see what Grilled is doing as a service. These mistakes need to be found and corrected.
what is he doing?

the right thing would be to contact BB directly and tell them. why the need to tell the public?

This is the "BrandBucket Experience" thread. This is an ideal place to post mistakes found on the BB website. He's not telling the public. He's telling domainers like YOU and ME who are interested in all things BB related.

Rather than asking him to tell BB about logo mistakes, how about BB properly check the logos before they go live?

BB already knows from past experience that there are logo mistakes from time to time. He doesn't need to tell BB. BB needs to come front and listen to these mistakes if they care about this.

What I do get is that this is a public forum and people should be able to speak about anything BB related - positive or negative without you lashing out at them. Maybe you should start a new thread called "ONLY POSITIVE BRANDBUCKET EXPERIENCES"

I think Brandbucket should appoint more people to accelerate the whole listing process

if people should be able to post anything BB related on this thread why are you attacking me?

Why cant I post anything I want?

Accelerate the listing process? I don't think speed is the issue. It's quality. Though, to your point, there's always room for improvement.

If I'm not mistaken, they have the fastest publishing times of all brandable marketplaces...

Sure you can post anything you want just allow others to do the same. Every time someone has anything negative to say about BB you immediately jump on them. Now I understand if someone is posting false information but you seem to disagree with anything negative concerning BB. We aren't here to only talk about BB sales, and rainbows and unicorns.

I have a lot of money invested on the BB platform and I would like to know the good and the bad. Anything negative a person says should be taken as constructive criticism and hopefully the information is used to make the platform better.

I think we both want the BB platform to continue to grow and do well. I also think you agree with what I'm saying but the ego is difficult to let go. So with that said, I concede.

'ego'?

You should be the last person to talk about ego.

Even my domains are there pending for logo over a week

Any recent Bb sale ?

I sold my last one there last week and I am done with BB. I had around 60 names there. I asked a simple question. Where is your limit? How many names will be published? I got no answer. So - I sold all my domains @ NP.

I left just this one, which I knew I will sell quickly.

So bye bye BB.

Talent/Menu got rejected, yet if you see what talent names they do have you will see:

Talent/Plate
Talent/Bite

It's such a shame that the reviewers really do not have a clue. But if my name was mediaplow it would have been accepted no problems. Because for someone with 5,500+ domains accepted, he should have over 15,000 names all together, but guess what... he does not. Some users are getting the perks while the rest of us are left behind. Not because we are rubbish at picking names, just because we are not in the circle.

I noticed they prefer 2 syllable word + 1 syllable word domains.

While fewer syllables is usually better when it comes to brandable names, I don't think this name was rejected due to having 4 syllables. Many 5 syllable, 16 letter long domains have been published on BrandBucket recently, so they now accept longer names with more syllables than they did previously (in the past, I never saw any names with more than 14 letters).

Oh, come on. Don't tell me you actually think it was just a tiny, unimportant mistake :xf.rolleyes:
And I guess you are fine with BB completely ignoring the problem - not a word of explanation (or apology) for many days.

why do you think some people like misspellings?

I don't know if it's about the listing fee or not because BB also rejects a lot of names.

at least they reject a lot of my submitted names
and they all are great names!
why else would I have wanted to own them?

How to achieve a more robust system?

(1) Allow option / 24 hour window for sellers to approve domain for publishing. (after logo / description is created)

I see no need
as it takes ages to get a name finally published anyway

when you recieve the email
just read it
and complain
it will be solved fast

-I had that misspelling happen to me too-

Today lot of my pending names were rejected ... About 30 I guess 5 of them were selected all were 2 words ...I still have no idea y Bb reject a lot of good two words more ...than crazy invented names..and regarding the logo wait almost 2 weeks,I contacted them today I got a instant reply due to heave que it is taking longer than usual ...I really don't know how long I should wait.

If you go for Two Word domains you will have a lot of rejections with BB. I am not sure of their exact criteria as I have not found the magic formula yet. Sometimes I have a great success rate, other times I seem to constantly strike out... A lot of times when I am sure they will accept a (two word) name, it is rejected - and sometimes names that I don't think BB will approve, they do.

Invented definitely seems easier to get approved, but IMHO the likelihood of a sale is much less if it is purely invented and not keyword based. So you would need to do your own math a decide if a higher acceptance rate will offset a lower sell through rate before jumping too heavy into the invented names. (once again - this is just my opinion)

But remember - BB is not the only way to sell a domain so don't let rejections get you down. Also, if you really feel a name should be at BB you can always resubmit. Sometimes they will accept the name the second time around.
