Please do not type out the domain name.

Venue: Outbound, Linkedin
Purchase price: high $xxx
Held for just under two months.

This is my first time doing outbound on Linkedin, first lead using a Premium Sales Navigator trial. I’ve tried outbound via email sparingly before, but I assume it all ends up in spam. I’ll be using Linkedin a lot more from now!

Was there any negotiation involved or the buyer accepted $7k outright?
What was your first offer to them and their first offer to you?

@Nametree is it allowed at linkedin to send PMs offering domains for sale or what is the premium sales navigator?

Good morning @alcy, @kaposzta, @MediaCode,

Trust you are doing well and sorry to hear the transaction had to be terminated. However, I am quite surprised to see this post. As you all know, a buyer has the freedom to terminate the transaction at any desired time. However, one thing that is changing the perceivings of this post tremendously would be that we would have refunded the buyer.

The sequences was as follows:
  1. the buyer paid installment 1/60
  2. the domain was transferred to our escrow account
  3. the payout was submitted (on the 5th of February which requires time to settle)
  4. transaction was terminated
  5. domain can be returned
At this point a claim is made that the payment was refunded while in fact, it is still in transfer to your account as communicated to you @MediaCode on the 5th. No refund was given?

automated crypto /com
hand-reg in 2017 / sold in Jan '20
$2400 after inbound DAN offer & negotiations.

Sold for cheaper than I wanted, but still great ROI & one of the highest "automated" (reported) sales.

Quick question, what was the min offer used for this domain on Dan?

I sold vapy.de for 11.000 € at sedo

nice sale.. as I said, the keyword is pretty good... but overall and on average .de make way more and are way more frequent than .ca sales... imo vapy///.ca would never fetch 11k.... well.. at least not in my lifetime :)

What were the negotiations like in your case? Your BIN and their first/second/third offers?

Hahaha. Well, I don't know what's the exact reason behind that of sales happening of same amount. I ended last year with the same amount of sale in the shape of Digital-Identity.com which I shared in past and this year started with the same amount of sale as well!

I don't know german but can make out a few things.
To understand, he made a €450 offer and you countered €4500 or you didn't respond and he upped his offer to €4500? Text on both lines looks different.

I quoted the 4500 after his 450 offer
but he didn't reply
his next offer was 11,000 €
asking me if we can meet halfway

I have no other explanation than he was referring to the price on the landing page of mine
which was 15,000 €

but I accepted his offer

it took him several weeks to pay
I was thinking of fraud
but my sedo rep told me
his a good customer

Congrats AbdulBasit! :xf.smile:

I would put bin 2500 for this domain :xf.rolleyes:.
What did you focus on when you put 15888 and how confident were you that a potential buyer would buy for BIN? Previously, did you received an offers? And for example, earlier if you have received a smaller offer, as 5000 or 7500, would you accept it?

I don't generally post sales for various reasons, but would like to share this one because it's interesting :)
I mostly only invest in brandable .com domains along with a handful of .co, but back in 2017, I acquired 4 domains for $30 as a lot, and one of them was a .org. I think it's the only .org I've ever owned...I don't have it listed anywhere other than Afternic, it doesn't even have a landing page, due to it doesn't really fit into my portfolio/brandable domain marketplace. Surprisingly it just got sold a couple of days ago! Below is the details:

Name: 3/D/S/C/A/N/N/I/N/G/.ORG
Sold on Afternic
Acquired on NP in 2017 as part of a 4-domains lot for $30
Sold price: $3000
After commission: $2400
Wow, you been away a while, you built an amazing brandable portfolio many years ago, hope your doing well.

Hi @LaszloSchenk – I am just now seeing these posts. My apologies to everyone here and especially @DAN.COM – I had misunderstood the email I had received at the time of cancelation that the transaction had been UNWOUND not just canceled. But, I was wrong – I did indeed retain the first monthly payment and still have control of the domain name at Dan.com's associated registrar, Metaregistrar.com. I have already apologized to Dan.com and the buyer privately for my miscommunications.

@alcy - congrats for your sale
It's weird that you did not sell much LL.al.
I had around 45 few years ago but sold many of them for reasonable prices.
