Hello guys,
Strange question from a strange and dumb domainer. I'm about to explain to a big CEO how unique and rare domain names are just like how a piece of masterpiece artwork is created from skilled strokes of a brush by Picasso or Michaelanglo or the choice of words and notes by a musician to create a musical piece that becomes a classic that millions of people will sing or hum around the world.
So the thought came to my mind about the basics of domain and pretty much anything that's "online" or "internet". It's digital and view via tech there will be lines of code involved yea? That boils down to a specific pattern of 1's and 0's.
The people who try to sell domains to never think domain names as these rare and random patterns of 1's and 0's.
Like for example. Keyword Casino. To turn that into Casino.com. My dumbass assumes a random set of 1's and 0's has to be chosen to come to the creation of Casino.com and then next making the smart decision to secure that random set of 1's and 0's in the king of domain extensions .com.
Buyers always overlook and downplay the sheer magnitude and just plain "extraordinary" feat of securing a domain name in the exact keywords the need.
I believe they downplay this "extraordinary" to their benefit to negotiate the cheapest price possible. Let's be honest the perfect situation for a buyer who just so happens to be the ultimate enduser for the domain is to get the domain for registration price because they are pissed they can't get the domain they want when they want it or need it. They can't seem to wrap their heads around the fact that a domain that they could have registered for $10 is a now a domain they have to pay $5,000-$100,000.
People call domainers greedy and as part of that label "cybersquatters". What we do is ART. If you compare what we do to say Rembrant or Van Gogh I don't see any difference. Artist spend their own money to buy the canvas and paints and whatever else is factored into the expense to do what they love with no guarantee they will make a dime off their work. That's admirable and risky and scary. Anyone who does this should be admired for their bravery to jump into the void with no guarantees. We domainers do the same thing. So don't ever sell yourself short just because your buyer wants to get the best price possible. F**k THEM!
So in short...let's say Casino.com ? What would be the 1's and 0's pattern to end up with Casino.com? does it look like below? or something else?

When you look at domains as above it really is an eye opener. Technically ALL DOMAINS are valuable it's really all about the correct series of 1's and 0's. Like the right combination on a combination lock or vault lock that opens treasure.
We've all come so far as human beings. Imagine how things were back in 1920? and compare then to now.
The problem is we've taken for granted how spoiled we are that we overlook or don't pay attention to what makes our world WORK. without those 1's and 0's and with Pascal or the Turing machine and the discovery of electricity. Where would we be?
Also I just realize if it's not 1's and 0's could it be ASCII?
Disclaimer: I am not a techie so apologies in advance if this is a stupid question. So be kind to dummy. lol
Also the reason I am asking this is because the CEO I plan on talking to is a lover of the Arts and has donated millions to art foundations and charity events. So the idea that exact match domain names are works of art (digital art) should resonate with him. maybe?
Hey. This is just me thinking out the box.
But this idea should not just apply to selling to a CEO but to any offer even one's coming in at $50 offer or $100 offer.
This is exactly why $100 offers are insulting and "bottomfeeder" ish.
