So what have you all done to live a simpler and more environmentally friendly life.
And what have you all done to encourage others to live a simpler and more environmentally friendly life.
And what are you all going to do to convince the United Nations and its many member Countries that still think that we have a lot of time to realize that the damage to this Planet is accelerating and that the incremental actions that they have been taking thus far to stop it is no longer adequate since we are getting closer and closer to the point of no return.
It's time for everyone to become a more engaged Environmental Activist. The time for going to conferences and giving the same old speeches is over, this is now a do and die situation that means if we don’t do our Home Planet will soon die.
IMO
I've been challenging mostly far Right thought in the
NP's US political thread. Yeah, that one...the toilet, where angels fear to tread.
It's been a trip! The heads in there are decent guys for the most part though, they generally treat me with respect in some candid dialogue, but it was a fight at first and I'm the lone
green wolf. At least the meme machine has slowed down, lol. That was annoying! Anyway, it's been an education for me too. I can't say that I'm all that encouraged by the right vs left political agenda and propaganda from the top down, apart from what I've heard in the last two weeks coming out of the Biden camp... it seems he gets it, but again, he's fishing for votes.
What have I done to make my life simpler? Over the last year I built a tinyhome back east on a piece of land, developed an off-grid solar farm and planted my own crop. The fishing isn't all that good anymore, so I moved to a remote northern community where it is Covid-free. My diet consists mostly of game now, the fish are plentiful and the moose is shared among the tribe. I don't drive, but I bought a ski-doo for the winter to go ice fishing. I work with youth and elders, and the local medicine man to bring back the age-old traditions. Collected some berries and medicine today.
Oh yeah, I've been networking with some keen Environmentally-friendly people I met in this thread, and started another general thread:
Earth Matters, so what's holding us back (just recently been getting traction and some other feedback), it's kind of ridiculous talking to yourself
I registered a domain and started a webpage:
projectblueplanet.com (but it's not easy to work via satellite and my computer crapped out). That's the latest news, been doing this for years
@oldtimer.
...would also like to hear feedback from others, especially the younger generation who have more at stake.
