Just wondering does a hubpage blog with links back to my website help alot? I recently deleted my hubpages blog and put the blog directly on my website and since then my alexa rating has dropped over 5 million points. But my analytic's and google webmaster tools doesn't show any different or dramatic drop in visits? So before I went and put the time into 2-3 more new high quality content blogs I thought I would ask if anyone knew if this was the reason for the rating drop or not. Thanks for any input in advance.

IMO yes, you should keep the blog, and update content at lest once per week.

Standard reply given for anyone that posts any question about blogs.

Used to be that hubpages were super, but seemed to drop off in popularity.
Big reason for the alexa ranking?
New domain just put up.
Good blogs rise to the top, bad blogs drop dead.
Go ahead if you have the domains and the time for more quality blogs.
And don't worry about alexa rankings.
Just go for visitors.

Ignore Alexa, go by the WMT and GA stats.
"Para sites" like hubpages can be useful, but hubpages itself isn't what it used to be.

WMT and GA, are those found in my c-panel?

Sorry - I abbreviate a lot ;).

WMT = Google (and/or Bing) Webmaster Tools
GA = Google Analytics.
