I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Is Namespro specialized registrar for .CA domains?

They sell a lot of different extensions.

They're not the cheapest, but they offer whois privacy on your whole portfolio for $10, free email, full dns management easy interface. Their support has been very timely for me. They also have one of the more interesting TBR setups.

Know your market.

Dropcatch at Sibername is $35
Namespro is $19.88

Every name in my signature was caught for less than $50.

Good to know, I have used sibername in the past is it like my id that to make it into the auction you need to have a min bid of .....? I couldn't find the one for namespro? thanx for the info...

To get into the auction at Sibername you just have to bid the TBR at $35. They won't put a lot of resources into getting the name at that price though, so if you're serious make it higher.

Namespro is better at explaining their system than I am. Namespro TBR

I have my eye on 10 .ca's at sedo

I bid on all 10 domains at an opening of 5k each

no response

Then I raised to 10k each

no response

Today I raised the bid to 15k each

I will wait to see if someone at least starts a bidding process with me.

If I don't hear from anyone this time around I will forgo the Sedo bidding thing. I was hoping that at 10k at least someone would respond and say. Hey... how about 50k.... anything but instead it's dead silence.

I'll never understand that..... I would respond to a 5 or 10k offer, even if I wanted 100k. At least I know the person bidding is serious enough to open negotiations.

I'm probably going to switch tactics and look for the "buy now" ones on godaddy to see what that gets me. I have to see what kind of quality I can get for 5k, 10k, 15k range.

It's again amazing to hear the level of negligence that these people are observing.

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity." Rings true here.

Mind sharing the names you've been bidding on?

Got this yesterday, I know we get spoiled with netsquirms sends us reminders every few days:sleep:
Dear MOMD,

The domain(s) listed below are due to expire within the next 30 days.

growstuff../.ca - 2018-04-29 (30 Days)

If you have a valid credit card on file and have not disabled automatic renewals, Web Hosting Canada will attempt to automatically renew your domain for you 5 days prior to its expiry date and will charge your credit card accordingly.

I noticed billing info comes from [email protected] and renewal notice comes from [email protected]
Looking in my folder I also received notice for 30 days to renew for a previous name.

Yup, have to negotiate to sell domains. Not rocket science.

There's wholesaler value for sure. It's a 4l, typo, pronounceable, no trademarks,480 searches. I wouldn't pay a $1000 for it though, maybe $150-$250 and I have no idea who the enduser would be. Maybe record label? Fukk records? Lifestyle&Fashion? Apparently Rihanna has worn the hat.

I personally would find it difficult to sell into that alternative crowd - I'm pretty "square". Maybe $2k-$3k?
Outbound email subject line: Hey You Muth3rfukk3rs!!

Hope that helps.

Yup, 10 bids at 15k each, binding and not a peep. Nobody that responded with something like.... Good start, can we do xxxxxxx

All 10 will drop from my offer attempts by week end. Time to move on to ones where the owners will at least communicate.

I have had 9 offers on red.ca since possession and I responded to everyone with a no thank you. I let them know I was not interested in offers below 100k. The bidder will understand where I stand and decide from there.

Was easy and I was hoping for something similar with my opening offers.

(y)

You would get email alerts..which I assume you would be monitoring for listed names worth 10k, right?

Yep, and it was more of a little joke given the number of offers and the $$$ involved.
