What ever happened to

.firm for firms, businesses, companies etc.
.shop for on-line merchants, shops or stores offering goods to purchase
.web for entities emphasizing activities related to the World Wide Web
.arts for entities emphasizing cultural and entertainment activities
.rec for entities emphasizing recreation/entertainment activities
.nom for individuals

?

I just thought this was so cool to see. It has registration costs at 75 bucks

Theres a bunch of other logged pages here:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
".web for entities emphasizing activities related to the World Wide Web"

Not yet approved by ICANN.
I believe it will be, one day ... and have thus "reserved" a few. :)

www.webtld.com

Non ICANN sanctioned domain names:

www.new.net

I have not and would not register or "reserve" these domains, IMHO. From what I understand, they require special "plug-in's" to a User's browser in order to even be universally recognized. If anyone can provide further input or thoughts, I'd be grateful as well.
Thanks much.

Anything to do with the site's, "Planned Downtime" announcement (just noticing that here this a.m.)? I'd love to talk with him ... do you have his e-mail address or tel. number, Koho?
Thanks much.

That's great, DD999.
DomeBase was here last night, so I'll be sure to check in over there later this week and make an inquiry of IOD (".WEB").
Appreciate it. :)

Potentially better than ".NET" and many of the existing extensions over time, IMHO. Only time will tell on that aspect, as well as its possible approval by ICANN.
I'm pretty happy with my "reservations", however ... at this point in time.
Thanks for posting, Guru. :)

Oh wow... sure shows how Enom has improved through the years (Thank God!). Although I did not know it has been around for so long. Most domain registars I currently use are a year or two old. Enom is a veteran lol.
