I don't know how, but when someone makes claims to a domain - you have the rights to them. the case of our Chinese friend (@American) showed that it is necessary to provide prompt legal services to all registrants. don't want someone to lie to me. normal business live in domains.

ideas:
  • anti-abuse service (TM issue's, @profile)
  • protection of rights (for domainers, @American)

I have plans to create lawyer firm to protect domainers.

post: I lose $42,000 on an escrow.com transaction as pdd.com, help please.(https://www.namepros.com/threads/i-...om-transaction-as-pdd-com-help-please.1059035)

It's not clear what you are asking. There are many lawyers who practice in areas relating to domain names.

There's even a sticky thread in this forum titled "Recommended lawyers for domain disputes" https://www.namepros.com/threads/recommended-lawyers-for-domain-name-issues.257993/ That first post is from 2007, and much of the information is out of date. But if you click the link in my signature, you'll see that I've been at this for a very long time. I've been representing domain name registrants in disputes since 1997.

The problems that @American has is the result of extremely poor business practices. First, the domain name was a stolen name. Secondly, using "a friends" account to engage in an escrow transaction is a really bad idea.

But very early on in the thread, someone posted information about several lawyers. @American contacted none of them.
