GoDaddy Launches Campaign To Remove Verisign! You can sign the petition.

GoDaddy has started a campaign to have VeriSign removed as the registry operator for the COM and NET gTLDs. They have also pledged $100,000 to help ICANN in its lawsuit against Verisign.

Why Recall the Registry from VeriSign?

To stop VeriSign from abusing its position as the exclusive provider of .com and .net registry services by engaging in unfair trade practices for financial gain.
To support ICANN in its defense of the lawsuit filed against it by VeriSign.
To provide stability to the Internet and protect it from unregulated abuse.


If VeriSign succeeds in its suit against ICANN and/or retains its .com and .net registry position, how will it affect me?
