ICANN and Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) published their unaudited financial results through the second quarter of fiscal year 2022 (FY22).
ICANN's financial position remains as strong as it has been for the past several quarters. Funding through December 2021 is higher than the previous year's actual funding and the current year's budgeted funding, driven by the growth of domain name registrations. Expenses are lower than budgeted, predominantly due to limited travel caused by travel restrictions, ICANN72 being held virtually, and lower than planned headcount.
