iTwire.com which has 327,505 visitors a month and 70,000+ subscribers published a dirty domaining story titled "The Dirty World of Domain Trading”

"It spoke of insider deals on Australian based Netfleet.com.au. Ned O’Meara has alleged that Netfleet is dealing in insider trading, breaching customer privacy, and misleading customers.

Another domain registrant talks about buying a domain name which was cancelled by the Australian governing domain body, (the AuDa) apparently it was a misspelling of a brand name. When the buyer asked for a refund he apparently was told by Netfleet that they could not refund it because they were charged for the registration."

"This is attracting significant interest from across the Australian domain industry, particularly from domain investors who are furious about the activities that have been taking place."

An article titled "Open Letter to Netfleet" is available at Domainer.com.au to give a better perspective on this.

Why on earth would ANYONE bid in a "blind auction"?

The entire premise smacks as a playground for scamming, insider information, and shill bidding.

I would want to know where I stand in the bidding process.
