Jakewulff's latest and greatest scam!

Yet another scam by our friend, Jakewulff.

Remember the supposed sale of NetBolt.com at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11153&item=5739596558 where the high bidder was Jake Wulff's "former roommate", who then changed their mind over a $1,999 bid?

My suspicion that JW simply made up that new alias - "hcobunny" - registered on 12/26/2004 is confirmed.

In this new scamming auction, Jake "The conman" Wulff attempts to capitalize on the stupid trend of selling "forehead space": http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=317&item=5949387460&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

The chick in the pictures has a website at http://www.gloriakim.net - after doing a WHOIS we get:

Registrant:
Jacob Wulff
305 F Street
Washington, Kansas 66968
United States

Registered through: GoDaddy.com
Domain Name: GLORIAKIM.NET
Created on: 12-Jan-05
Expires on: 12-Jan-06
Last Updated on: 12-Jan-05

So it seems that Jake Wulff is enlisting more people in his endless line of online scams. I wonder if the only sign this chick will be wearing on her forehead - current bid is $260 - is "SUCKER!".

Keen eyes, folks! :gl:
Let's be sure scammers like these remain off of the Namepros site (as well as disclosed to the folks at Ebay (for what it's worth there, I guess)), as well! :cy:

Thanks much for the posts!

It's comical that he's this dumb/obvious, but it's all so very WRONG and sad, as well IMHO.

Will Ebay just permit this behavior for all eternity?
No wonder I never set-up an account there.

Jeff, I've sold dozens of domains on eBay without a hitch. It's scammers like this idiot that give eBay a bad reputation.

By the way, do you know why this imbecile registered with a new alias and pumped up the auction? Because the 2nd highest bidder is golden_palace_casino, the same company who bought the Madonna grill cheese sandwich and won the "Frank Must Die" auction at $10k as well.

See http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5548558254 and http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8157047854 and http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5950507719 (not highest bidder at that one).

I warned him not to bid on that scammer's auction, let's see if he gets the message on time.

Righto ... I hear you. :gl:
I'm faulting Ebay here in this specific case ... and not meaning to infer that all (any) folks who utilize Ebay as a domain selling outlet are even near this dude's caliber of SCAM. Generally, Ebay could do a better job of monitoring their auctions, in my view.
He actually gives domainers a bad reputation, as well ... from the eyes of non-domainers perhaps looking in on his antics, IMHO. I mean, it is pretty obvious!

Do you suppose folks' selling their motorcycle accessories who perhaps may have a cursory interest in domains could stumble upon this and say, "What the heck is this guy doing, shilling his own domain names?!?" ... and, hence, become irrevocably turned off on the whole of the domain name business? :talk:
Do enough of these (domain) SCAMS on their site do anything at all to advance the domain name profession?
I wonder about these things when I don't get enough sleep.
Two cents, thanks for all thoughts (and perhaps recommendations to Ebay).

Yet I tried to post an auction once regarding wholesale dropship lists and ebay shut my auctions down in less than 24 hrs for what they said was an ebay violation having to do with promoting sales offsite *(i.e., the dropshipper). And there were maybe 20 of the exact same auction running which were allowed to complete, even after I brought them to ebay's attention.

And guys like Jake here get free rein apparently.

Question is...what are his choices now that he's #1 bidder in his own auction?

Potential options:

1. Withdraw his own bid
2. Cancel his own bid, thus bringing #2 up for a whopping $500

We'll be watching Jack "the conman" Wulff up close.

Unreal.

Jake Wulff's alter ego relisted the "forehead for sale" ad at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=317&item=5951609794

Can you believe this, his reason is:

ATTENTION: I am relisting this item becuase the winning bidder of the last auction's email address keeps bouncing (everytime I send him/her an email it says it's the email address doesn't exsist). So I am not wasting anytime in relisting myself :) Everyone please bid on my eBay auction! I really need the money!!! :(

So now he bids in his own auction (username Scene9 refers to scene9.com which he owns) and since he passed the max bid of the 2nd bidder he declares himself...unreachable.

Somebody needs to put this idiot behind bars.
