The Metaverse is the next big thing with many of the Big Tech players already involved so thought it deserved a dedicated ‘MV’ thread.

Lots of keywords like Glasses, NFT’s etc are already taken but there are lots still available.

Just picked up ‘MVTokens’ in king

Happy hunting!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
1. One more live site with MV domain:

MVNewstoday.com

2. MV gaining a lot of traction especially in Japan n China Media.

3. Even Microsoft uses MV in its docs.

I see humongous value in MV. May be as much as VR AR XR combined!

All the best to all early believers and investors in MV.

Speaking of beginnings... The/MVPD in com directs to their webpage. Seems they settled for adding 'The' as a prefix while their exact match in com is still up for sale.
MVpatrol is available in com, would work nice for them I think.

BTW, I want to ask everyone investing into the Metaverse domains one global question. I don't know, maybe this has been already discussed elsewhere, but I'll still ask.

Obviously, these investments imply the hope for Metaverse thing to thrive and go full-scale the sooner the better; this might mean the Metaverse can take the place of the Internet as we know it now, and there is a chance of the online / virtual resource addressing system evolving into something different rather than the domain names (pieces of virtual land?). How do you think, is that likely to happen? If you think it is, then how do you justify your investments into something that can in essence bury your business eventually? Or you just consider that time being far beyond your investment horizon?

You can replace a dot with a comma and create a new domain name system for the Metaverse.

So won't your former domain system investments depreciate then?

Big Four Accounting Firm Enters the Metaverse With Purchase of Virtual Land in The Sandbox (SAND)

Good question

Big companies seem to be investing in virtual land in the MV.
But at the same time they are spending money on domain names too. Why are they
if there is something that will take the place of domain names as the main address?
If so, I think it will be a years down the road for whatever that is to go mainstream.

Just my opinion of course (no crystalball here)

Makes sense, thank you @Donavan. As to big companies, I think they are also uncertain about which scenarios are going to unfold and how fast, so probably just diversifying.

Meanwhile, a number of MV domains from my short list have been registered today per my observation. I've added a few as well:

Stumbled upon this MV name earlier today. Looks like some sort of newly developed gaming site.
Whois shows the name registered on 11/09/21

https://mvblockfarm.com

Some new MV website each other day, nice. The guys would obviously want to have BlockVerse.com but have settled on mvblockfarm.com, MV working as the second choice shortener just fine here.

Thinking a global MV will need language translation services

I've added MV/Translator * (com)

MV Lovers! Domain name SoundMetaverse.com will go to the Sedo auction on December 31, 2021.

This domain name already has 6 bids. We will see how popular the word metaverse would be.
