I am still in initial learning phase and prefer reading and doing hands on with dropping names to check how many got registered. It's a confidence builder when my shortlisted names shows 'registered' next to them the next day. On the other hand its a learning if my shortlisted ones are still available after 3 to 4 days.
I am improving slowly and gradually.
May be in next few weeks I'll jump into the investing phase.
Here's the story of my first accidental sale
It happened a few days ago when I was scrolling Flippa.com and found an unattended name waiting for the first bid.
It was a no reserve listing and I rolled it for $1. Later realised it wasn't worth. I though someone may bid over me and I'll escape.
Day by day the bidding was approaching closure but I was the top bidder ($1).
On Jan 17 2021, I received an email stating the auction has ended and I won
I paid a dollar and kept quite as I though I'll even not bother for transfer. Thanks to the seller, I received the auth code. Though I requested the seller to push to same registrar (NameCheap) as it's no point spending 8-10 bucks transfer fee for a 1 buck purchase.
Once transferred, I only went to my NameCheap account and selected "For Sale" putting an unexpected $10 tag.
Today (4 days from purchase), I received the magical email- Congratulations. Your domain has been sold.
I made my 1st sale for a 1000% flip.
Small amount. I may have made 20 or 30 in place 10. Just lucky. Or whatever.
The email made me jump. Afterall it's my first sale from my supermicro portfolio of 6 names.
I wish this sale may just be the good luck charm and a welcome sign in this street.
Pray for me.
Oo. I didn't mention the name... It was NeedsCrypto.com
The singe S after Need (making it plural) was concerning and I though it's not worth a dollar that I bid on it.
All's well that ends well. This is just a beginning though...
