Public Interest Registry, the nonprofit operator of the .org domain, today opened the call for nominations to identify seven new members to serve on the .org Advisory Council.
Today through June 5, 2015, individuals may submit nominations – including self-nominations – detailing the applicant’s experience in leading a noncommercial organization, commitment to promoting the noncommercial use of the Internet and desire to ensure .org remains the domain of choice for any person, corporation or organisation to share their causes, passions and ideas.

Within this role, the selected members will communicate with .org registrants through surveys and open forums, participate in education opportunities, promote .org within the international community and issue an Annual Report, “The Dashboard,” outlining all activities and achievements throughout the year. Members will begin their service in July 2015 and serve through 2018.
