Recommendations for forum software

I am several years out of date on forum software. VBulletin was the top dog back then.

I am looking for forum software that

Is easy for visitors to use
Has reasonable administrative functions

Cost is NOT a concern.

It will be for a niche food related subject so the visitors will not be experienced technically.
