Long or Short?

DXC prefers .technology because the name of the company is DXC technology. (exact matching...)DXC prefers .technology
The question of this thread is: if you like nGTLDs and Technology what do you prefer: .Tech or .Technology? If I'd register word.tech for my own use, I'd make sure I also own wordtech.com though... The same with .technology.
DXC Technology owns its .com, so it can afford the play with gtld...

For the war between nGTLDs and .com there are so many other threads...
Ok, the problem is me... I see war everywhere...Please preach somewhere else... I chose .tech over .technology, but also mentioned that it is with asterisk (I'd chose it only if I have .com of it)...
You see war everywhere and remind me of Don Quixote...
You are right: technology = technology & tech = many things...TECH and TECHNOLOGY have different meanings in MOST uses.
Tech = Technical, Technically, Technological, Technician and sometimes, only sometimes, TECHNOLOGY.
Technology = The application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry.
Computer.Technology is far different than Computer.Tech.
Car.Technology is far different than Car.Tech
Home.Technology vs. Home.Tech
I could go on and on.....
Takeaway here is that under MOST circumstances 'TECH' is not a good shortener for 'TECHNOLOGY'.
Irrelevant to the topic, respect the opY no option for neither /.com?
