Website Description:
The time of war - This is an advanced text based rpg game, with massive amounts of features.

Player vs: Player - Basically, player vs. player is you attacking another player within the game. By attacking another player, you gain exp, and strip off exp from the player you attack, if won in battle. Your attack rating is based off, character level, character HP (hit points/defense), attack power (attack obviously), critical (extra attack from critical damage, if you have 50% critical, you hit attack + critical 50% of the time, ect.) Player vs. player spawned the 2nd style of battle sequence within the game, which i will cover after i explain the world, which is an important feature.

Explore (World) - The world within the time of war, is the single most important addition to the game. It is considered 2D. A screen shot is included to show what it looks like. In the world, there are many types of NPC'S (bosses.. mobs is what i call them.) type 1: Regular mobs.. A regular mob is a npc that you fight, gain exp from, and if you get lucky with sometimes win a simple non-rare item, which you can equip to your character to gain extra stats. example: you win a knife, that can give 5 atk, or a shield that can give you 3 HP.) Stats on items very depending on the mobs level. I will get into that as i continue. type 2: quest mob.. A quest mob, is basically a mob, asking you to help him, and he will reward you with stronger weapons, AND or high amounts of exp to help you grow. an example, a quest mob might ask you to kill 50 rats, and find 5 rat tails. After you complete this, you turn in your 50 kills, and 5 rat tails, and get a special quest item. full body sets can also be added. Quests are the greatest updates for players playing, as that is what attracts their attention to the game, competition. now, type 3: raid bosses. A raid boss is not a NPC that you can fight alone. I will cover this when i move onto "crews, clans, gangs" whatever you wan't to call them.

Player vs. NPC - I covered this in world, however; player vs. npc is the 2nd style. You gain experience for winning, and you gain equipment for your character, which can be worn, or traded, or dropped.

Crews - Crews are very important within the game, as well as making competition for other gamers. Who wan'ts to play a text adventure game alone, when you can join a crew, and raid monsters in the world, fight gods in the world, and war other crews to become to most powerful players together? Crews are also one of the strongest part of earning revenue, because of "upgrades" for your crew members. Each crew has a crew bank, crew shop, crew vault, crew hitlist (crew adds members in the game they dont like), admin permissions, 5 level rank system, and more. Now, i will cover crew NPC fight. there are 2 types once again. 1: Regular raid, drops strong items yes, however crews don't compete to kill it, anyone can fight it. 2nd type: God NPC. This is my favorite add-on to the game, which adds the competition i was talking about. God, is a spawnable boss. When they die, they die for a period of time for every crew in the game. When it re-spawns, EVERY crew in the game will fight to take it down 1st. Special strong items drop, along with points/whatever you wan't to make it drop. Stats are generally stronger for the raiding gods. You can add as many as you'd like. Now, crew upgrades, right now there is extra attack towards members, extra experience per hour, extra attacks per hour, extra raid attack, extra raid defense. Leaders of the crew generally pay to upgrade their crew, like i said its a competition of who runs the best crew, and a great way of networking.

Equipment - I've touched on this a little, however; equipment is what makes your character stronger. You win equipment through quests, bosses in the world, and crew raiding. The last way, is through the tradeblock, which you can trade other items for, or pay with points. I will touch on the tradeblock, after i explain stats. Now, you have 8 body parts, and 3 extras called "gems, or orbs" You have a head, body, weapon, shield, legs, ring, shoes and belt. Weapon is the only item that gives attack. All other equipment gives HP. Items can give experience per hour, critical, attacks per hour, attack cap (each player is capped for how many times you can attack another player per day, this will give you more time to attack someone if your trying to strip a lot of their exp) and max attacks. (if you only have 2000 attacks for max attacks, once you have 2000, you won't get more, but if you have 2000 max attacks with a 500 max attack upgrade, you will be able to recieve 2,500 max.)

Points - Points of where players spend $ to upgrade their character. Points can be used for buying crew upgrades, buying equipment in the trading center, buying upgrades for their account in the marketplace (a shop, which admins add upgrades, they can change daily to attract new buyers, and stronger weapons, ect.) Revenue is amazing with these types of games. :)

I have covered the most important features within the game. Extra features include message center, built in forum, personal profile, backpack for weapons, chat, shoutbox, personal hitlist, ranking page, casino games, and a new feature i have programmed, but not yet added, called skills. Also, attack logs, raid logs, quest logs, some admin features, i'm a fan of adding through databases, cron jobs, obviously, the works. If you've ever wanted to own your own rpg text based adventure game similar to an outwar, this is it. I've had members tell me this was the "mac book" of text games on the net. Thank you for reading, sorry it was so long, but it isn't worth explain if i'm not in detail. Have a great day.

yes, it is a custom script, and yes, login as demo (username) and demo (password). I originally released this game as "Rogue RPG" that was what I originally called it, however; thetimeofwar is now the new domain name, as I was going to TRY and open it again, but due to college coming, and work during summer, I will be unable to continue maintaining this game. Obviously the real domain name is http://thetimeofwar.com, but the sub beta, was for testing, and uploading.

roguerpg.com, .info and .org were all my purchased domains. Originally it was called RogueRPG in 09 when I had it released. Thetimeofwar is it's new domain name.
