It is remarkable to me! – who in their right mind would pay $55,000 a year for a gTLD that takes longer to type than most great passwords? I do not oppose long domains, common words are often as memorable as a single character but I would never pay a $55,000 renewal fee on a long .com.
There is only one end-user, I can think of, with the proper funds to waste but they own Alphabet.com which is a much shorter and simpler version that is attached to the best extension and only has 1/5,000th the renewal fee per year.
