Let's say you have a domain such as: DenverMassage.com, and you traded it with a Denver massage therapist for a free hour massage each week for you and your wife/husband for 3 years? Ultimately that would be more valuable than just selling the domain to an end user for a few thousand, right? Of course you'd have to live in the area for that to workout for you.
I imagine buying local domains could really pay off, if there is an interested party in your area willing to do a trade for their services/product. Such as a restaurant (free food!), hair stylist (free haircuts!), auto repair shop (free car repairs and oil changes!), apartment complex (50% off rent?)
I think there's a lot more we all could get for our domains than just the perceived value of them in cash. Has anyone successfully done trades like this?
