exactly ... remember reading a news bit this morning where a muslim cleric was bemoaning " ... harm to property and persons does not go with the peaceful ways of Islam..."
Someone asked "Why is this in industry news?" Ummmm....do a Google search for whitehouse.com....it is the most infamous site in the history of the internet. The owner won a landmark Free speech case that allows all of you to own any non-Tm domain and put anything you want on it. It used to be a pron site and it made international news when he got out of porn and wanted to sell it. He turned down all offers (even though they were in the several million dollar range) because all offers came through a broker. Since the offers were coming from a broker - he couldn't be certain that the site wouldn't go back to being a porn site, or that he was selling it to Al Queda. So he decided to park it. It's been in a parked status for over a year. He GAVE UP MILLIONS of dollars because of this and was awarded an Internet Ethics Hero Award. The site went up yesterday as a free speech forum. You can post your thoughts and comments without registering. He has no ads on the site. This is as "news worthy" as the domain industry gets.
Thanks for the tip/link, creme. I wonder how many type-in hits whitehouse.com gets?? I think using the domain for this purpose, as opposed to parking it for click-cash, is actually a public service. I added my two cents to the site and it got published instantly. Other than a profanity script censor, the site is practicing free speech and inviting others -pro or con, to do the same. I like that!!
Could someone do me a favor and download that comic on the front page and then upload it to namepros? I cannot view the website anymore and i would like to see that image again.
