I agree, you really are a needle in a haystack if you don´t have hundreds. I´m considering putting in some efforts in content and SEO and finishing up my own 'marketplace'. I already have about 80-90 daily type-in landings on my other NON BB submitted names. Would probably give all my names more exposure?

This haystack needle concern is one of the frequent favorites here. One that Michael J Krell himself has weathered. I would assume that BB has a strategy to get the same % of names sold while still adding inventory. It would be interesting to hear it.

Michael's sale are really awesome and a long list too.. so I'm not arguing the viability that domains sell on BB.. he's proven it. I'm just curious if we have other fellow domainers here who have had even a small fraction of the success Michael's been having... anybody in the last 3 months for example who sold more than 1 name

Michael sold 18 names out of ~2000. It is an amazing amount. A mega paycheck he collected for the month a June. But it is less than 1% of his BB portfolio and it is Michael. I am sure his reputation helps him sell more names than a regular person.

I would like to know what are the monthly sales for people having less than 50 domains.

If i apply that sell rate to my BB portfolio i will sell my next in late 2016, and the next after that in late 2017 or early 2018. I´m glad i still have my day job B-)

Domaining is just a hobby for most of us. Personnally, only selling 1 domain per year on BB would be fantastic. But I doubt I'll be able to get that kind of results.

Good to see. I submitted one more domain.. HOpe it gets accepted ;)

I agree it is time taking to find possible clients.. and I am ok with it
But I don't want branbucket pile up domains --- bunch of them and overwhelming to clients

Michael has 2,000 names and usually sells on average 17 per month. You would assume that if you took 4 or 5 sellers and add up their portfolios to an equal amount that you would have similar amount of sales. Not the case.

Andrew Rice (BB brand ambassador) 658 names
BrandPluck 363 names
BrandWorthy 332 names
PolkaInc 153 names

These above add up to 1,506 names. Not quite the 2,000 names that Michael has but pretty close. You would think with 1,506 names you would at least have close to the same amount of sales. Correct? These sellers above have had very few sales if any. I think Andrew had a couple but the ratio in volume from these sellers is similar but the sales are not. This group of sellers should at least have 10-15 sales every single month. What makes Michael's portfolio sell so much better? Doesn't that make you wonder? The names are the same in quality but these sellers have very few sales if any.

The only logical answer is that Michael is able to push his own inventory over yours and get on the front page with every single name. BB says it doesn't matter if you're on the front page but that is pure B S. When someone types in your name and follows it to Brand Bucket what other names are being sold on that page? Why should your traffic sell someone else's name? Why is the attention that my name is supposed to be getting from my traffic being diverted to the house inventory? There are so many questions you should ask yourself.

There is a tons of names being added to BB lately that are under privacy. I mentioned the NameSilo privacy already and who those names are but there are also many from Uniregistry and 1 & 1 being added at a rapid pace. No domainer puts their names under privacy if they expect to sell names. I repeat, no domainer puts their names under privacy if they want to sell names. This is rule #1 in domain sales. If no domainer puts their names under privacy then why are so many names being added to BB under privacy. The obvious answer is pretty easy to figure out.

Having the director of the company (Michael) and the owner of the company (Boxador-Margot) being in direct competition with you is s real conflict of interest. It's not only a real conflict of interest it's a huge conflict of interest. The transparency that BB has talked about since 2013 has not come.

I believe that companies like this exist because of domainers and on behalf of the domainer community I hope that BB starts answering these questions and becoming more transparent to their sellers.

We all want to see some real sales. For many years BB listed sales and the buyers obviously didn't care so what's with all the secrecy now. Out of the blue the buyers started giving a shit? BS!! If it didn't matter then why should it matter now. Show us some real sales besides the directors sales! If buyers gave a shit then why does the director show his sales? Hmmm? Interesting.

There is a whole community here that is placing their bets on the brandable market and giving you tons of money to list their names hoping that the brandable market is actually real.

15,000 names listed I think it's about time to SHOW SOME SALES ALREADY!

Thanks for the info. We are all in the brandable market together and with us being transparent with each other we can get a real good idea of how good or bad the brandable market is.

Anyone else like to share their Brand Bucket portfolio total and the sales to go with it?

200 names on BB cost 2000 in annual registration fees. It has to produce at least 2 sales just to be even.

I don't agree with ANY of this math.

This isn't a lottery. Names aren't being picked out of a hat.

Names are being chosen individually when bought. Place 2,000 names in one group and 2,000 names in another group and give them both the same exposure and each group should generate similar numbers.

I had 2 sales last month, 1 sale the month before and 1 sale the month before that. My portfolio is small(about 133) and my portfolio recently grew fast because BB reviewed so many names lately. I predict a sale coming soon as I haven't sold one since I broke 100 domains. Plus I'm excited for some new ones to go live!

Again, i vehemently disagree with this "porfolio size" theory.

I feel like the appropriate response is "You must've had some very impressively chosen names! Congrats on picking great names!"

There is a lot of faulty logic being used in this thread and it is misleading people and probably causing a lot of people to waste time and money. YMMV.

Congrats! That's really nice. In my new batch I have lots of backordered names from GD. I am curious to see how they will do on BB.

Among 100 good names .. if a person holds 30 and a person holds 2 .. which one has more chances of selling a name? It is a numbers games.

I see that you sold Bagogo but I couldn't find your other sales listed here. Can you tell us these other sales you are talking about? I figure if you can tell us you sold Bagogo then you can tell us the other names also. I doubt the company asked you to keep the info private.

What is a good name? Well, how long is a piece of string?
At the end it´s the buyers present need that defines a 'good' name. I think there are very few names that´s so good that someone first buys the name and then start thinking about what business to build on it. BB's acceptance process should guarantee there are only 'good' names published, right? :-,

So Beazy if we had asked you if Bagogo would sell or not before it sold, you would've said yes of course, right? Because it's only about quality and you can perceive this quality unerringly.

In the options markets we base everything on probabilities-this is no different. Your response to "Beazy" is exactly correct.
