The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The twitter account has not been updated since the sticky domain issue (which was on the 13th September).

As previously mentioned, BB had an issue that they have fixed. They have published domains every day.

They have not stopped publishing.

Review is taking slightly longer than usual, but nothing is broken, they are not taking a break. I'm sure they will get to your names as soon as they can :)

You are 100% correct.

Since 18 , I had three names published.

Not true. All newly published names are tweeted out on the BB_Domains twitter account. The chart is very clear and shows no new published names for the past 7 days.

I am sorry but I feel compelled to correct that statement. From 18 to 19 of Sept, I had three names published.

You are right. The twitter feed must not be working correctly.

Has anyone else's names been "Pending Review" for almost two weeks? I guess I got accustomed to having my names reviewed in a few days. lol. I guess everyone needs a break from reviewing though so I'd perfectly understand if that's the case. I couldn't imagine sitting there going through thousands of submissions per day #boredtodeath lol.

Ha, me too Candace :)

When I first joined, it could take up to three months to go through the whole process of getting reviewed, getting a description done, getting a logo done, and then finally getting on site.

You are right though, it does seem to be a bit slower than usual right now but it is still chugging along.

We can see here that brandbucket has added over 800 names for the past 7 days.

@Dnbolt.
Thanks, I do see some of my published names on there. However, when I clicked on some of the pages, it took me back to the 'Sold' domains. Is it just me?

i think BB has stopped publishing and reviewing for past few days ...my publishing list on BB review for past 1 week this is the longest..are they taking a break or whats happening ?

They haven't stopped publishing, but I've got names I submitted as far back as September 10 that haven't been accepted/rejected yet, which is the longest I've seen in a while. Maybe some people are on vacation or taking a little break after the crazy rush of the Dotster/Netfirms/MyDomain submissions over the summer.

Yes, @Nat Hunt you are definitely right. Some of them are on vacation, that is why it takes longer than usual.
I have also domains that are Pending Review for about 10+ days.
But they are definitely publishing names, but just a little slower for now.

Sure and you've got a holiday card from them ;)

12 of my names were published yesterday and today.
32 accepted names have been working their way through the process.

All my names submitted before 9/10 have been approved or rejected.
All 50 names submitted after 9/10 are still pending review for approval.

why the sarcastic words...
I just wrote the information I have

Let us refrain from derailing the thread, but I thought that your comment deserved a little sakasme/fun, because I think BB staff is the only one who can answer why it now takes longer time to get names accepted/rejected and published - But maybe you are employed by BB?

No I'm not employed. I simply asked why is taking longer than usual, and I got the answer. Cheers :)

Okay, so I finally got reviews back for some of my BB domains.

However, I have a question for people who are more into the brandable game than I am.

How much would you personally price d/a/t/a/b/a in com for? The suggested price given by BB was $1895.

On the one hand, I'm a little surprised because it's a CVCVCV with data in it, and because data + CV names are not all that common these days. Also, personally, data & ba makes me think of database (maybe that's just a figment of my imagination. Yeah! It's probably me tryna see more money in the name. Ha!)

On the other hand, I'm not surprised, because the only comparables on Namebio commanded a max of $2200 or so last year.

However, I do find it hilarious that many of the domains that I "formulated" and hand registered for $2 were actually given much higher suggested prices than d/a/t/a/ba - a domain that I caught and went to auction against 'First' (Chinese) and ended up paying $xxx for (maybe I overpaid but what's done is done, so whether I overpaid or not is not really the point).

Anyway, the question remains, would you price this domain at $1895 + 20%?

Oh! Btw, it looks like it also means something in Spanish.....

Six letters are normally a dime a dozen but having the good keyword Data in it plus the fact that it is short is a huge plus. Also the fact that there is only one other six letter (datazo) listed at BB with the keyword Data is another bonus. Take into account that all other pronounceable six letters with the keyword Data are registered is another massive bonus for you. Add the 20% and let it ride. :) It will sell.

Well I cant say I am expert but would still say it is typical BB price for such names. The reason it was on auction was maybe related due to the meaning it has in Spanish which seems big. Perhaps you should see if you can get more by doing outbound before decising to publish.

I agree with both BB's pricing and Abdullah's advice.

BB is likely looking at it as tech name and 'ba' is not a very desirable suffix for a keyword hack.
Many would pronounce it Duh-Tah Bah. So BB may have also looked at it as an invented name.

But.............
It means 'dating' in Spanish. That's a pretty powerful keyword.
You might consider listing that on GD premium and Afternic for $3K to $5K
It could take months or even a few years but that would be the way to get top dollar.

Or....... contact these folks and ask if they would broker it for you and how they would price it etc.
That's what I'd do

@Candace Cooke
It doesn't mean dating in the traditional sense of the word. It translates like these examples below. I wouldn't list at a premium price because it will never sell.

The document dated back to 1945.
That law was in place dating back to 1950.

Two days back I paid the listing fee for listing Prrofit.com on BB for $2395. It's not yet live.

Today I realized a similar mis-spelling domain Smiile.com sold for $18,000 on Sedo.

Should I cancel the listing on BrandBucket.com before it goes live, hoping for a higher price? Should I contact them to increase the valuation for the domain?

a smile doesn't make money
but profit does
