The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Well it seems that the payment process is moving along.

You should of got an email the other day if you sold any domains at auction to enter in Transfer Codes for the domains sold. Also to select payment options.

I just got Transfer Request's tonight, so you should be getting those as well. I would expect the payment's to arrive soon for those who accept the transfer's today. (That's what I am thinking any way. lol)

I submitted Gold.biz, ChargeCards.info, DigitalPhotography.net, and Fish.us which I think were better and would bring more than most of the .com's I actually got accepted.

Good analysis. Notable that such a big percentage of non-coms were sold. Also- many non-coms got pretty good voting results. The perception given by a premium non-com is far better than that of so-so dotcoms. Of course, .com is king but LoveCouch.com is definitely not better than fish.us!!

The overall impression wold have been more prestigious if they had excluded some of the lesser dotcoms and taken some truly premium noncoms instead. The list would have looked ever so much more convincing. The domains you mention above are clearly premium - many dotcoms in the DT auction left me wondering whether I'd missed something because I couldn't figure out what the heck was so good about them.

An excellent thread ! Why haven't I seen it before ?

Where is the domain name scorer tool everyone mentions ? Can someone put up the link ? Thanks.

The scoring tool was used for the domains that were submitted for the auction, so I would not think the tool would be used at this time.

Things appear to be moving along - the two domains I purchased appear to have both been updated lately to be at eNom ready to be pushed to me.

I posted a concern on their support ticket system last night. I purchased a domain and also sold one. They show the sale, less the commission, less the purchased domain for a payout amount. However, the purchase has already been charged to my credit card and again shown deducted from my eventual payout. Hopefully it's just an oversight in the escrow summary, but no answer to my support ticket yet. I kind of expected support tickets to be answered in at least 24 hours.

Same situation for me it would appear, and for another person that I talked to who both bought and sold at the auction.

2 out of the 3 domains that I sold have been transfered and DT has control over them. One is in the transfer process. No payment as of yet, but eNom does have that crazy rule of the 7 day One push rule, so that might have something to do with it.

1 of my domains sold is transferred - the other 2 had to be re-requested - and after okaying them - nothing else has come from DT. Godaddy says they haven't seen the request, but see where I've prepared for it.
I both emailed and submitted a support request - this morning i posted on their blog - Jay seems to keep on top of things there.
I don't want the buyer of my domains to think I'm being uncooperative - Plus I'd like my moolah - Gramma needs a new pie pan!

Anyone heard a peep out of DT lately? My sold domains were all transferred nearly a week ago. I had 1 domain which DT never initiated a transfer request for (or at least I never got the email). I initiated a support request for that one nearly a week ago. Still not a peep from them in response to my support ticket.

I'm in the exact same scenario; 2 of mine haven't gotten transfer requests and the rest have been transferred. FWIW, I've had Moniker be quick only once out of 3 auctions, so this isn't a surprise to me. I don't understand how companies that supposedly have good customer service don't keep communication up. That's rule #1 in customer service and so many domain companies are horrible about it.

Nothing heard on my end either. Communication is the key, like NameTrader said. Why not post an update on the blog?

Nothing new here. My sale is a Fabulous.com name, and the transfer window already closed (temporary unlock). Fabulous reassigns a new auth code with each transfer request, so I had to reopen and submit a new code. If they don't request the transfer this weekend, which I'm guessing the won't on a holiday, it will expire again and I'll have to do it a third time.

This is really beginning to upset me. THEY emailed ME saying my 2 Moniker names weren't unlocked (despite the fact I went in and unlocked them for transfer, Moniker decided not to unlock them - weird). I went through and unlocked them again, confirmed they were unlocked, and emailed DomainTools back the same day saying they were unlocked. At that time, the rest of my names were transferred. That was now last Monday and they haven't done squat nor emailed me back. I just sent a 3rd email to them. Jay needs to stop making blog posts and start handling this auction and getting people their money. There's NO excuse for this level of service.

umm ok, you're talking about a $30 recurring subscription.

We're talking about thousands of dollars here.

I just address this part of your post. I had the same problem with Moniker transferring some .nets to Fabulous. I do know how to transfer domains away from Moniker. I followed procedure, the domains were unlocked. I put in the transfer request, only to find moniker had relocked every domain in my account. So it's not just you.

I am waiting for one to transfer yet as well and still no word on payments. The not responding to emails is getting pretty old. Does DT have a phone number?

try emailing [email protected]

i'm still waiting too -one domain transferred - the other 2 in limbo.
I think this should be top priority for them right now - so we have a good taste in our mouth for the next auction. :)

I would imagine this will take sometime. I do recall that DNJournal reports TRAFFIC auction sales often times a 1.5 months after the auction, because of the length of closing the sale. I think if your all patient, everything will work out.

The support ticked I submitted over a week ago at DT has yet to be answered, so I posted my comments on their public blog which seems to be the only place they communicate lately. Maybe we can start a trend if you also post your comments there:
http://blog.domaintools.com/2007/08/first-domaintools-live-auction-results/#comments

I was actually charged for my purchase on 8/17. It was transferred to enom in the name of DT on 8/26. It's now 9/5, and I've not yet heard anything about receiving it.

My sold name has had it's transfer window closed a second time, but I'm waiting for them to contact me about attempting a transfer before I unlock and get a new EPP code again. Therefore the person who purchased my name won't even see that a transfer has been requested yet.

Still hoping, but getting impatient.
