I see that Rick S. owns Johnson.me. I'd imagine most great surnames are taken in all extensions. But, supposing a good name were available in .me and .co, which would be more valuable, in your opinion?
LastName.co since last names frequently become brands or names of companies. The . co domain extension is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) assigned to Colombia. However, there are no restrictions on who can register second level . co domains, and it has become widely accepted as an international domain representing “company” or “corporation”. https://itxdesign.com/com-vs-co-which-domain-extension-should-i-use/
Search Engine Optimization move:
Choose .co over .me since .co has the potential to have higher traffic (translation: .co has the potential to rank higher on Search Engines over .me)
I have plenty of .me & .co and sold domains in both extensions. First/last name .co are much easier to sell and are highly accepted compared to .me
In .me even popular names will remain unsold because people don't know about .me in the first place. They will ask you that what is .me (there is very little to NO awareness about this TLD in general audience. )
So my vote go to .co
