Networksolutions Domain Transfer

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
While trying to move domain from Networksolutions to other register, after unlocking the domain and requested authorization code. But I got this message “If you intend to transfer this domain name please call Network Solutions to call 1-570-708-8788 to request assistance from a transfer specialist.”

Does it normal procedure with NS to get authorization code?, or there is any option to remove this step by making change in domain control panel setting?

Thanks

It's been a few months since I transferred a domain from NetSol. But the procedure was always, they would send you the auth code after 5 days (iirc). I used to see those warnings, but I don't ever recall seeing that warning on a validly executed transfer request. I always ended up with a message about the auth code being sent after 5 days. I would carefully go thru the steps again, checking that the domain has been in your account for 60 days, that it is definitely unlocked, and request the auth code again.

I transferred a name a couple of weeks ago and it took 3 business days to receive auth code. I too received that message, I did not respond to it and still received the auth code.

Hope that helps.

hmmm
and I thought namecheap.com was already mighty slow when it takes them about 3 minutes to send me auth code via email.

always nice to know which registrars best be avoided like fire. gl.

I would say @Al Cohol - is probably correct. His memory is more recent than mine :)

@DNBro Network Solutions may provide the auth code immediately if you call them.

You have to go thru so much upselling, that it's actually a lot less irritating just to wait out the 3 days :(

It's normal for them, you can wait 3 days or call them if you want to speed things up.

Unfortunately this is common in my experience. I have had to call them a number of times, but to my GREAT SURPRISE there wasn't any pushy sales tactics. Everything went faster than expected and got the code emailed right away.

I've definitely gotten better than expected experiences when I have had to call...

Yeah! Good news they are continuing with their same system. I've got a whole lot of domains to transfer soon.

I know this is an old thread, but just for the sake of not creating another one, does anybody know how long does it get into your Godaddy or any another registrars account after this whole above talked about process is done.

Thanks!
