domain New Behavior at GoDaddy Auctions?

I make my own drop lists to check and noticed (wasn't particularly interested, but noteworthy) that mumsathome.com was dropping today and added it to my to-check list. (Can confirm that it was dropping via Namejet pending delete list https://www.namejet.com/download/3-18-2021.txt ) I ran it through the Godaddy Bulk Checker this morning and it was unavailable... ran the list again a little while later and noticed something I don't think I've seen before which was an 'Auctions' tab.
I clicked on it and there was mumsathome.com at auction with a $2000 minimum offer. https://www.godaddy.com/domain-auctions/mumsathome-com-340547415?src=dpp
So question is... did someone else just get it earlier in the morning and already have it up at auction by @12:30 PDT, or is Godaddy doing something new with expiring domains?

Hmmmm that is definitely notable, the godaddy appraisal is $1057.00 - Just curious, who technically owns the domain now and who listed it? Is it still in redemption? New behavior or something else?

That is definitely something new! I was also going to open a new topic about it.

As a newbie domainer, was following daily sales to learn the market and something catched my attention about goddady auctions; freshly dropped domains goes for $xxx - $x,xxx and most of them don't even have domain authority, almost no backlinks. And they're still redirected to godaddy parking page says 'has expired and is parked free, courtesy of GoDaddy.com' after sale.

Is godaddy executing a shakedown scheme like hugedomains?
To be honest, I would expect everything from those elephant killers!

One thing I've noticed is that if you run the checker the night before you can definitely see that some names that are expiring were previously listed and so show up as Auction domains. What I don't understand is how a name goes from expired to listed in Auctions with a minimum offer before 1PM. Is this only happening with Network Solution names? i.e. Is NS running it's own dropcatch and then through a partnership arrangement with Godaddy having them listed at an algo-derived price automatically? Or is it simpler... Does an auction listing for a domain persist through the whole drop/catch process? i.e. Is there no interruption to the listing when the name expires? Seems like there should be and that that should be automatic. Else... You could buy an expiring domain and find it sold out from under you without you ever listing or pricing it?

Was looking at staircycle.com that was dropping today.
Last night it showed up in the Bulk Checker as at Auction.
It definitely dropped and was picked up again this morning at 11:18 AM Thursday, Pacific Time (PT)
(So now back at auction at Godaddy and Afternic)
Trying to understand this.
Is neworksolutions catching it's own partner registrar drops? Like immediately?
Are they selling domains at retail prices themselves?
If you click through the Auction link you end up at Godaddy.
