I have a new gTLD domain I will refer to the extension as "ABC" to keep the domain name anonymous, the purpose of this thread is to discuss the experience I went through not the domain itself.
So my domain name is market.ABC, I sent 10 outbound emails to potential buyers one of them has an active website aftermarketABC.com he replied very fast:
"Sure how much?"
After 2 minutes of receiving his email I clicked reply button and started typing in the composer and before I finish typing I received another email from him:
"never mind I registered aftermarket.ABC"
I admired his speed.. giggled a bit and moved on
Someone might say why didn't you buy his exact domain name match before trying to contact him, that is impossible because when you send outbound you send to tens or hundreds of emails, and it is not rational to buy every exact match domain before contacting each one.
