This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Two recent .xyz sales:

Domain: Mint // Flow .[xyz]
Sale price : $788 (BIN)
Sale venue: Afternic
Cost: $0.99 handreg
Hold time: approx. 7 months

Domain: Nano // Labs .[xyz]
Sale price : $788 (BIN)
Sale venue: Afternic
Cost: $0.99 handreg
Hold time: approx. 8 months

Bulk buying .xyz domains for 99 cents a piece is clearly profitable for me. Will probably do it all over when the unsold names expire late this year.

But a downside with selling .xyz domains on Afternic is that they are not part of the premium network, so no Fast Transfer. The manual process has been slow, and it's taken weeks to finish the transfer and get the money.
Congratulations on your sale! If you don't mind, how large is your dot xyz portfolio?

Oddities.xyz sold for $9888 @DAN.COM
InterChain.xyz sold for $3995 @DAN.COM

No further details please. Thanks
Thats very encouraging to see such xyz sales during these times. Its popular notion that mostly crypto, nft, web3 co's spend in xyz and crypto market is down by a big margin right now, so I expected there might be some dry run for xyz's but great to know it isn't!

Haven't posted on here in a while, been posting on my Twitter profile.

Adventurific*com
Venue:Whois inquiry via email
Sales Price: $1k
Hold Time: ~7 months
Cost~$10 on NP's and one renewal

Buyer was really cool and this name was ns5 and ns6 lander at $1688. He emailed through whois and he said it was a bit too expensive, and was there any way to sell it a little lower. I asked his plan for the name, and I liked what he wanted to build, and I told him if he could pay in next few days, we can close at $1k. He agreed and we closed the deal as imported lead at Dan. I wish him best of luck on his vision for the brand he is building.

TappWallet*com
Venue: AN
Sales Price: $7,500
Hold Time: 2 weeks
Cost ~$10

Buyer made $5k offer and GD broker got them to full BIN of $7.5k. My highest .com sale ever and upgrading my portfolio with these proceeds. I posted on Twitter on August 3rd, now TappWallet*org, net, and info registered on same day, around time deal closed, so not sure if same buyer, bots, and or other domainers buying the other extensions after I posted on Twitter, kind of interesting side note lol.....

Gaming-Events*com
Venue:AN
Sales Price: $750
Hold Time: 5 months
Cost ~$5 on NP's and one renewal, so $15 total

Buyer made offer of $299, then $500 and I told the broker $750 if they pay today, otherwise going back to $2,488 and they agreed and paid that day. Rolling up the profits into much better names. I like this name and don't have that many hyphens, but have done fairly well with them and they are good for cash flow sales such as this.

Please do not share this outside of NamePros, the community provides so much insight and I am giving back to the others before me and who are currently sharing their domain sales. These are on Twitter and no need to mention outside of this forum.

No Further Details.
Re: TappWallet, congratulation on the strong sale. Question: You mentioned "I posted on Twitter on August 3rd" and the other extensions were reg'd. Was this a Twitter announcement of your closing $7500 sale? If so, why didn't you grab the other extensions then before the victory lap? I accept that the reason we post sales is our egos. But, the same ego can cost us additional sales and more competition. Probably better to strive for quiet successes, perhaps. I'm working through that.

I sold hyperbolic .xyz on Afternic for $1000. The sale was late September 22, but due to the registry/backend 60 day lock after a transfer, the sale could not close until October (in end they accepted a push at registrar, but at first were waiting for GD transfer possible).

I only do inbound. I had a somewhat higher BIN price, and a bit higher floor price, but Afternic agent came to me with offer, which I appreciated. After inability to negotiate higher, I accepted.

I had created name in 2000. Renewed it twice, including the renewal via transfer just before sale.

While not a super common term, was attracted to the meaning: e.g. a hyperbolic orbit is one with sufficient energy to overcome gravity and travel to infinity. I thought this was a nice analogy for various types of businesses and marketing, unlimited growth and success.

The name is already in redirection use by the buyer, for a web3 peer-to-peer service offering token transfer, NFT exchange, P2P lending.
