So there is a collision in space and all of a sudden we have one that will be here in a week. That would suck.
We really are pretty vulnerable to space hazards.
Interesting read. The ole man says "mother earth will look after herself" He is probably right. That does not mean she will look after who is on it though. I think the swine flu was another wake up call. The bugs are winning. We should be prepared for another outbreak of some kind.
Not to worry. I read that if any devastating asteroid hits the earth, we are unlikely to know about it until it happens. (They are just too hard to spot, and approach too fast.) And then, if you're in the right spot, you'll be dead before you know what happened. It will really suck for the survivors, though.
