discuss .SHOP - Do you see the potential? I see it...

I am amazed by the numbers regarding the .SHOP domain names,

According to an article on Online Domain, it has already grossed over $2 million in revenue from the 2,000 registrations in the Early Access Program itself.

The fact that it is seeing such a good response form the business owners shows that the extension has potential and can be good investment.

What are your views on this?
Are you looking forward to registering some .SHOP names in General Availability starting 26th September?

I think it's got potential, particularly in the UK where we say "shop" not "store", like "book shop" for example.

As with all the new domains, I think it will take time for people to get used to them.
