I do tend to scan the Aftermarket for valuable Magazine/Mag domains, yes. I have also sold few Magazine/Mag domains in the past so they do sell if the keyword/trend/hobby/niche does command a large enough public..

I like "Keyword"Magazine.com domains. I think the name can make them seem like an authority source, since many well know magazines use keywordmagazine.com domains, and also because people associate traditional (print) magazines with having a professional team producing the content. I got about 15 magazine domains, and one mag domain.

Feline Magazine
Hamster Magazine
Melody Magazine
Cleaning Magazine

Mine don't have the exact keywords, but the idea behind them is the same.

GoldChronicle.com - for a magazine, perfect 2 word fit imo
Bullionboards.com - for precious metals message board / forum

I like chat domains too, have a few...
