discuss When did you buy your FIRST Domain Name?

Not sure if this has been asked here before but I was looking through my old order history on GoDaddy the other day and thought to myself hey, that would be a cool question to ask on NPs...

So when did you purchase your first domain? How much was it? What registrar?

My first domain was registered through GoDaddy on 8/10/2002 it was a .NET for $7.75 USD... I was 15 years old

The company that bought it from me in 1998 still owns it and has never done anything with it.

I bought my name domain for less a dollar (on discount). And thought I had wasted my money.

Also, renewed it for free for next 4 years by sharing refferal coupon.

later put a tech blog and earned around x,xxx through adsense in the span of next 4 years. Good for a college guy.

Still own it and use it.

My girlfriend at the time was a big Bath and Body Works fan. I noticed the main site (without dashes) weren't selling any product online and the only place online to buy bath and body works products was ebay. Regged the name, made a site, ranked #1 in Hotbot and other top search engines at the time, threw up some ebay links, money came rolling in. Of course I lost the name since it was TM infringment. Also, had a forum attached to the site that was very popular with employees, posting up secret stuff the public wasn't supposed to know about so the site/forum became very popular.
