question Any way for registrars to send emails guaranteed to end up in Spam?

Strange question right? Let me explain why I’m asking. I recently got hit with big renewal late fees for my CCTLD’s domains. I use to get emails on the regular from this registrar then nothing for weeks. Then I got one email finally and it said I have 20 domains that I need to pay a late fee...

question Are registrars allowed to charge redemption fee without sending the domain into redemption?

Hello community, I have one domain which expired 37 days ago and it still shows clientTransferProhibited status under Verisign's WHOIS (the results are not cached). I guess the Namecheap just auto-renewed the domain for one month or so to prevent it from going into the redemptionPeriod and to...

question Domains which just expired are being sold rather fast

This is intriguing, I have witnessed it quite a lot. Some com domains don't get any offers or interest after 1 or 2 years in in holding, but when they expire they suddenly get sold in Afternic (paid redemption fee but still profit). (Edit: didn't manage to sell them at clearance so they went in...

showcase Showcase domain(s) you will NEVER sell but will keep renewing

Many domainers reg domains and flip it before renewal and expiring a year later. Some keep them for years but with the intention to sell for big money. Others will allow a domain to expire and delete. And then there are the rare occassions where a domainer once they land on a great domain will...
