The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
dan.com a godaddy brand is still there. it's fine
The pages that do load for me are the ones such as Dashboard, etc, that are user accessed.

Parked pages in cache do not show 'a godaddy brand' (they were from yesterday).

dan godaddy missing.jpg

Parked pages I've checked today are those for listed names with Dan nameservers...this is what I get on all of them (of course I tried more that one browser):

Hmmm… can't reach this page

I believe they just rolled out a fix for it.

The first thing I did when I noticed this was redirect all traffic to the internal marketplace for sale pages.

@DAN.COM

We get that they're mandatory, but must they be so big?

The number of sales is the only number I care about and when cumbersome cookie policies like this are implemented into a platform, that number significantly declines.

Landscape view - DAN.com looks more like a cookie platform than a domain sales platform.

At least in portrait view, with the brandable template selected, we can see that a domain name is for sale.

100% agree, it looks terrible, especially on mobile.

@DAN.COM Please have a look at this, thanks.

u are all acting as if u didnt know gd bought dan as competition buyout defensive move. like 747484 other companies did b4 them and will continue to do in future. just make best of it all. aim for best rates like add lead. and dont get attached to dan. dan has no future. only gd does. and when dan gone or rates too high go elsewhere. rinse repeat

maybe I should become a paid pro prophet..lol.. not domainer

@DAN.COM , I'm not sure what to make of this one. All I did was log-in and search my portfolio for one domain.

It's even worse! We will be paid once a month for installment payments.

This was DAN's response when I asked if we would get paid once a month:
This is correct. For this transaction and other LTOs where the payment is received before the 7th of August, we will send the payout on the 7th of August. For LTO payments received after this date, we will notify sellers of the intended sending date once the payment is received.

Anyone from @DAN.COM care to explain the logic behind this horrible decision?

I decided to turn off installments on all my listings until they reverse this decision.

I make $xxx, xxx a year in sales using installments, but this is a cashflow business, and this decision doesn't make any sense.

Its of course GoDaddy’s decision to take away what keeps us loyal to DAN— super prompt payouts on ALL transactions .

I have disabled LTO as well. The beast wants to hold your payout money unnecessarily for a week.

My guess is next they are going to delay all DAN payments. Sabotage and trying to chase us off the platform. It couldn’t be more obvious.

More bad news. If a buyer decides to pay an installment early, your payment will be scheduled for the month after that installment.

EX: If a buyer paid for Sep installment in Aug, you will get paid in Oct. If he paid for Oct installment today, you will get paid in Nov as shown in the screenshots below:

HI can @DAN.COM please clarify about auto-listing to Afternic of Dan.com listed domains? You've told us this starts from 1 Aug but what Afternic network do they get listed to, and are they not auto-listed if they do not have a fixed price set at Dan.com? You have told us they won't be eligible for Fast Transfer.

According to Afternic at https://www.afternic.com/domain-reseller-network - until now at least - domains listed in an Afternic account with Fast Transfer enabled reach a much wider network than other listings.
Every domain listed with us is promoted as a Manual Transfer domain. But making your domain a Fast-transfer domain gives it an extra level of exposure... The domain is listed with the largest domain resellers, so more potential buyers see it.

If the domains listed at Dan.com that get auto-listed to Afternic are not reaching the wider Afternic network, then it still makes sense to list domains in an Afternic account with Fast Transfer enabled. On the other hand, if the Dan listed domains do reach the full Afternic network, then likely there is no reason to list domains in an Afternic account, and no reason to enable Fast Transfer with all its risks and challenges.

I am disappointed with the revenue/sales performance of the "Dan.com" platform. Despite its impressive interface, efficient editing and updating features, and smooth performance without any bugs, the platform has not generated any revenue. I am puzzled by this outcome and concerned that it might be associated with potential bot traffic.

LTO is absolute distraction and SCAM!
Remove this option, We are not interested @DAN.COM @Afternic.com

@DAN.COM , I realize you have quite a bit going on, but you really need to do something about the email latency that is now up to 20 minutes after a week.

I'm just saying, it's a pain in the A$$ when you're trying to effectively communicate with a buyer and all parties involved, including Transfer Specialists, are forced to wait 20 minutes per response.

This is not the DAN way.

they will never remove lto option luckily we can. but hey maybe next gd police step is remove lto off switch and force it. no one would be surprised any more. maybe the extra hold on our cash gives them some bank interest heh because remember 1 trillion profit ain't enuf to gd and they need 1 trilon and 10 billion....... I said it longtime that dan is only good for addlead 5percent..
this became more true after fee hikes...and now with all bad new changes every one worst than last one my statement about addlead is even more true. it's all I use em for. I suggest u do same. and when they hike the 5percent I close dan accnt and go elsewhere. if u smart u do same.

did u just wake up. dan is dead for market sales from dan market. with all cookies now and confusing lto dan is now also dead for landers..only use it for add lead from bodis inquiry or such... it's useless for anything else

so i spoke to rep ani who contradicted all u said. til I showed your post... then he talked to seniors and apologized
... gotta say I never saw someone be so sure and so wrong at same time. of course i never got a survey from dan for that email chat. wonder why. either way I'm writing to u to say that they confirmed for me this:

everything is delayed like u said... gotta wait all right months to get paid... no way to speed up lto.... but... they say if buyer makes all payments left then they payout right away...

confusing ridiculous bs.

Good afternoon @carob,
You're correct that domains with a BIN price are now being opted in to the Afternic network, and you're correct that they won't be eligible for Fast Transfer at this time.

Dan.com domains with a BIN price are distributed to over 150 partners in the Afternic network (including GoDaddy.com), and we've seen the impact of this extra exposure. We've tracked an increase of 30%+ on the average sales price sellers receive. Dan.com sales from the distribution network also follow the Dan.com transaction path for fast and reliable payouts.

Best regards,
Dan.com

Good afternoon @411domains,
We haven't had any alerts about email latency, but we have asked our engineers to look at this to check what is going on.

HI @DAN.COM thanks for clarifying that the BIN priced domains on Dan.com reach over 150 partners in the Afternic network.

The question is, do domains listed in an Afternic account with Fast Transfer enabled reach only those same partners, or do they reach a larger number of partners?

If they reach the same, then there is no real reason to have a separate Afternic account or enable Fast Transfer.

good question. many are dying to close afternic accents with their joke unusable ui... and just nice dan ui for all needs... hell I'd close gd auctons too but apparently all dan bin listings go to gd auctions as bin plus make offer... so if buyer decides makeoffer u need gd account to negotiate. confirmed info. but yeah u got good.point never thought of it... does fast transfer from afternic means it reaches more partners? hmm... my guess is no...cause fast transfer is kinda whathappens after buyer buys already...but...let's hear dan answer.. lets hope it's well researched too...

Best regards,

I you haven't had any alerts about the email latency, then one can only assume that neither Laszlo nor Aksel relayed the messages to the appropriate team last week.

This issue began immediately after the team rolled out the lander fix on the the July 26th.

“ Dan.com domains with a BIN price are distributed to over 150 partners in the Afternic network (including GoDaddy.com), and we've seen the impact of this extra exposure. We've tracked an increase of 30%+ on the average sales price sellers receive.“

How do you get 30% more on the sales price if you have a bin?
30% more sales may be but how to get 30% more if I bin at 1k?
Average sell thru rate increase 30% i could see

I can answer this with absolute certainty.

Domains with Fast Transfer enabled do reach a larger number of partners and produce more sales.
